Halo: The Master Chief Collection New Update Welcomes The Flood To Firefight For Halo 3: ODST

In terms of the current relevancy for the Halo franchise, eyes are pointed at the Halo Television Series streaming on Paramount+. While fans are mixed on what the show is so far with some contempt on the decisions and others disagreeing on the direction, it is proven to be a hit. From Deadline, it was reported to be the biggest premiere for the platform yet. Elsewhere, 343 Industries is still properly working on the post-launch plans for Halo Infinite. However, fans believe that the game is not in a good state thanks to the lack of additional content for the live service title. Recently, the firm presses that Halo Infinite alongside Season 2 – Lone Wolves is receiving a career progression system which is still in the design phase. This week, 343 Industries in a new announcement for Halo: The Master Chief Collection reveals The Flood is making waves with Firefight. Yes, the secret weapon of the Halo rings are now entering the wave-based mode; specifically for Halo 3: ODST. First, players will notice that Flood are accompanied by dense fog which gives each Firefight mission a new and spooky ambiance. Players will see this fog dynamically fade in when a Flood wave spawns and fade back out when a regular Covenant wave spawns (in variants which mix Flood and Covenant enemies). Flood can now occupy vehicles for the first time since Halo 2 and players will encounter (and potentially commandeer) these across multiple Firefight missions. Flood enemies now have a few new animations which allow them to pilot these vehicles, traverse the environment more effectively, and even wield support weapons like turrets. There is also three new Flood types introduced: infected civilian, infected ODST, and infected Elite Major. With that comes new strategies these variants will implement. “Stalker Forms can climb on walls and deploy as Ranged Forms in unexpected locations, totally changing the way the classic Firefight missions play. Flood can also drop onto the map via dispersal pods.” Thankfully players can fend off this pandemic with Flamethrowers that are to be scattered across all maps. This also applies to Assault Rifles and Battle Rifles which were not included in the original Firefight mode as well. Firefight also received a major overhaul including fixes and other adjustments that go on to welcome the Sentinel Beam & Energy Sword too. Previously, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is not the only compilation title in the Xbox first-party pipeline. Then it was reported that Gears of War is to receive a similar bundle aimed to release next year in 2023. You can read the full report by heading here. Bugsnax Arrives To Xbox Game Pass Later On April 28th With New ‘The Isle Of Bigsnax’ Update

Giving PlayStation 5 some identity, the launch for the platform stands to be a defining factor for the newest system from Sony Interactive Entertainment. But rather than first-party titles such as the latest Gran Turismo 7 or even Returnal, many fans can remember the significance of one title: Bugsnax. The game originally launched for the new consoles as a free PlayStation Plus game over the span of the holiday season. Ahead of the game’s release, developer Young Horses revealed that the coming food-oriented monster safari title would be a spiritual successor to the remembered Ape Escape series. Additionally, the game studio recently spared plans for the coming expansion for the game, ‘The Isle of Bigsnax’. The free install would introduce new creatures and a new region for players to explore and uncover new sights to behold. This week, Young Horses announces that Bugsnax will be breaking its PlayStation exclusivity with the game’s addition to Xbox Game Pass at the end of April. The team also reveals Nintendo Switch & Steam is also receiving respected versions of Bugsnax as well. You can watch the latest trailer in the video below: “If you’re not familiar, Bugsnax is a first-person adventure game where you collect kinda-bug, kinda-snak creatures and feed them to your friends. You play as a journalist following the trail of lost explorer Elizabert Megafig to Snaktooth Island, where she discovered Bugsnax before mysteriously disappearing.” Young Horses Creative Director Kevin Zuhn describes Bugsnax. “The only way to track her down is to catch tons of Bugsnax and feed them to Lizbert’s scattered band of misfit grumpuses. However, anybody who consumes a Bugsnak rapidly mutates into what they’ve eaten!” More excitingly the Bugsnax free update ‘The Isle of Bigsnax’ is also set to release the same day as the new versions on Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC – April 28th. Are you excited to play Bugsnax on more platforms? Bugsnax arrives to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on April 28, 2022; out now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Epic Games Store. Source: Xbox Wire
Rogue Factor Unveils Hell is Us, Action Adventure Game in Unreal Engine 5

Rogue Factor and publisher Nacon revealed Hell is Us today. It is an action adventure title that has been in development for years and the studio’s most ambitious project to date. Hell is Us is a third-person action-adventure game set in a semi-open world where the main character sets out to learn more about his past in a country ravaged by civil war. The almost total self-sufficiency of the country hides a dark secret: the recent appearance of supernatural creatures resembling ancient headstones and monuments in the region. The citizens call this phenomenon “the Calamity”. Armed with weapons specially forged to fight these monsters, the protagonist must learn how to defeat them and use his equipment wisely. Hell is Us is a game in a new genre, one where players explore environments to find information all by themselves. “Our goal with Hell is Us is to bring back true adventure and exploration,” said Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, Creative Director on the project. “There’s no need for a detailed quest log or precise waypoint on the map: we want players to feel the thrill of adventure, guided by their feelings and instincts.”“We are delighted to be able to finally announce this game,” said Alain Falc, CEO of NACON. “As a publisher, we always want to offer games with original ideas that will appeal to as many people as possible. The first game from Rogue Factor since we acquired it is also one of our most ambitious projects, and we can’t wait to reveal more about it in the coming months.” This is a throwback type of game exploration wise, where players will be left to themselves to explore. No mini-map, no HUD, no waypoints etc. The video below shows little cinematic focus, so we don’t get to see any of the Unreal Engine 5 gameplay we all so badly want. The good news is it is coming to PC and only Xbox Series S/X and PS5 in 2023. What do you guys think of Hell of US? Let us know below
