343 is opening flighting for Halo Infinite’s campaign co-op in July, the company has announced

One of the bigger missed opportunities for Halo Infinite, at launch, was, without a doubt, campaign co-op. Millions of fans, including myself, associate Halo with couch co-op and online co-op to go through the campaign with your buddies and family. It adds another layer of fun to the game, and sadly, the feature didn’t make it to the game’s launch. 7 months later, 343 is flighting the feature to Halo Insiders (you can join the Insider program here) with a release date planned for later in the year. It was originally intended to be released at the start of Season 2 on May 8th, however the company pushed back saying -“The reality is that it’s going to take more time to land a high-quality, full-featured 4-player network co-op experience in the massive, wide-open world of Halo Infinite” Are you excited to finally go through campaign with your buddies? With #HaloInfinite campaign network co-op arriving later this year, we're planning to flight it to Halo Insiders in July. Xbox Game Demos rumored to be announced by Microsoft on June 9th

It’s going to be a busy week for the video game industry with Summer Game Fest kicking things off on June 9th at 2 PM ET. Rumors and speculations are already flying around as you might already see. The latest rumor is regarding Microsoft and what they might be showing off prior to the Summer Game Fest presentation by Geoff Keighley According to Tom Henderson of Exputer, Microsoft will be announcing Xbox Game Demos which would be a competitor to Sony’s PlayStation Plus time-limited game trials. It’s reported that this demo feature would be for Xbox Game Pass members and that it will come out within the next year. The focus would be on helping indie developers across the globe. Another rumor Tom talked about was that Microsoft will announce their Samsung partnership is extended and it will allow people to stream Xbox games on their Samsung Smart TV’s through Cloud Gaming. When it comes to rumors this time of year it’s best to take them with a grain of salt, but we wouldn’t be shocked if this becomes true in the coming days. As stated at the start of the post, it’s expected that these announcements will take place hours prior to Summer Game Fest. You can check out the full report from Tom Henderson on Exputer’s post here.

E3 will make a return in 2023

June has always been a big month for fans of the video game industry because this means a bunch of new games will get announced and have everyone prepared for the holiday season. The last 2 years since COVID-19 has come into this world a bunch of conventions had been canceled to prevent the spread of this virus and one of those conventions was E3. E3 has not taken place since 2019 which is crazy to believe that was 3 years ago. Today, it was revealed that ESA has confirmed E3 will be making its return in 2023 with both a digital and in-person event ESA president and CEO Stan Pierre-Louis said to The Washington Post. Here is a quote from Stan: “As much as we love these digital events, and as much as they reach people and we want that global reach, we also know that there’s a really strong desire for people to convene — to be able to connect in person and see each other and talk about what makes games great.” Over the last few years even with E3 still happening we have seen companies like EA, Sony, and Nintendo do some of their own things. For example, Nintendo hosts a digital presentation during the week of E3, but will still have a giant booth space at the convention while EA has their own event known as EA Play which happens the weekend before E3 and Sony has started to switch to the digital side with State of Play. Even though E3 isn’t happening in 2022 there are a couple events still happening this month including the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on Sunday, June 12 and Geoff Keighley’s event Summer Game Fest on Thursday, June 9. Devolver Direct 2022 Slated For June 9th, Mecha Suda51 To Host New Trailer Shares

As many can gather from the time of the year, major video game publishers are preparing to host respective annual showcases now entering June. So far, PlayStation held its State of Play presentation this past week with Xbox to host its own virtual event later this Sunday. But, that is only the beginning. In a surprise reveal, Sega shared that a new Sonic Central is to be held on Tuesday June 7th. But, it would not be June without one specific publisher in particular: Devolver Digital. Last year, the indie game publisher held its annual showcase and further pushed the insanity of its 2020 event before it. The contents of the show included a Phil Spencer interview with the tentacle monster from Carrion alongside your uncle from Nintendo hosting a segment of the show. Recently, Devolver Digital revealed it will be returning this year with another Devolver Direct. More exciting is that this year’s show will be hosted by a mechanized version of Grasshopper Manufacturer co-founder Goichi “Suda51’ Suda. You can watch the trailer in the video below: Most notable of Devolver Digital is the sure-hit release that come from its cooperation with smaller teams. Such as our recent review for Trek to Yomi which reads “It’s great to see an indie take on Samurai legend that feels like a cut above the average take on the genre,” wrote critic David Rodriguez. “Trek to Yomi is a fantastic idea with good execution,” he added. Additionally, the choice for Suda to be hosting the event is also a creative decision. We have witnessed the same element of uniqueness with Suda in the past for No More Heroes III. During the New Game+ Expo 2020 livestream, he featured new gameplay for the upcoming release, but decided to block a large portion of the screen to talk about his backlog of games he has yet to play.
