Maple Treeway leads the wave 3 DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to dominate on the Nintendo Switch and the games DLC is receiving its third wave on December 7th. The wave includes a total of eight maps from Nintendo DS, Mario Kart Tour, Nintendo Wii, Gameboy Advance and 3DS. Golf comes to Nintendo Switch Sports on November 28

Nintendo is releasing the Golf update for Nintendo Switch Sports on November 28. This will be the first major DLC for the game that launched on April 29, 2022. The Golf update will include 21 holes from the Wii Sports Series. Get ready to grab that iron & step up to the tee! Team Ninja Reveals Reboot Plans For Dead Or Alive & Ninja Gaiden IPs

For Team Ninja, the Japanese developer is no secret to the world with some of the most acknowledged releases that carved the industry. For IPs such as Dead or Alive for example. Its latest release shipped back in March 2019 and our review shows it aged well! “It’s robust and fun fighting system, a plethora of online functions and excellent mode selection make Dead or Alive 6 shine,” critic David Rodriguez penned. However, other franchises such as Ninja Gaiden has not been as prominent as many would like. The most the firm acknowledged the IP is with the ‘Master Collection’ which shipped last summer. But a one statement reveals it is passionate to meet expectations of patient fans sometime soon, game director Fumihiko Yasuda said then. At the recent South Korea G-Star conference Team Ninja Keynote, Yasuda presented plans forward from the developer. In that, Team Ninja plans to reboot both Dead or Alive & Ninja Gaiden. This is said to follow the current plans that Team Ninja already has slated for the coming years as Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is shipping next year and tailed by Rise of the Ronin. For the latter, Rise of the Ronin is an upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive scheduled to launch later in 2024. From the announcement that was shared at the time this past September, the new IP is to offer a fresh tale after the fall of the Edo Period set during the 19th century of feudal Japan. Yasuda at the time shared the development was a slow burn which explains its later release window. Elsewhere, Team Ninja is preparing the upcoming release for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. In October, it was shared that the title is slated to ship March 3rd next year. Additionally, the game will offer a few extra goodies for pre-ordering or purchasing shortly after its release. Koei Tecmo/Team Ninja To Launch Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty In March 2023

When entertaining the new projects that comes from Team Ninja, many are still aware of the recent release that is Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. This past month, its second DLC ‘Wanderer of the Rift’ launched which continued the story of the spring-launched title. Additionally, the developer revealed its upcoming project ‘Rise Of The Ronin’ which will be launching exclusively on PlayStation 5. Elsewhere this past summer, Team Ninja & Koei Tecmo announced Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. More interestingly, the announcement was made at the held Xbox + Bethesda Showcase at the height of the annual June announcements that month. Then it was presumed the game would be a timed exclusive to the platform, but it was only acquired marketing rights for the title. In a press release from Koei Tecmo, it is revealed Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is to launch this March for all major platforms next year. The firm shares additional content for pre-ordering the game also. “Purchase the physical or digital game by March 16 to receive special ‘Baihu Armor’. Those who pre-order the game digitally will also receive both the early purchase bonus along with the pre-order bonus: ‘Zhuque Armor’. “Koei Tecmo America also announced that in addition to the standard version of the game, a special Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Digital Deluxe Edition will be available at the same time, which includes a Season Pass that features three DLC packs. These packs are highlighted by new generals, new demons, new scenarios, new stages, new weapon types, and more. The Digital Deluxe Edition also includes a digital artbook and a digital mini soundtrack. Ubisoft Reveals ‘The Last Chapter’ Update Coming To Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Next Month

Come the end of this year, 2022, will mark the longest wait for a new mainline Assassin’s Creed title in the history for the franchise. Originally in 2018, Ubisoft decided to divide releases with a year in between to level expectations and not oversaturate the market. In 2020 as many fans are aware came Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. And the launch happened to be the biggest yet nearly doubling its 2018 predecessor, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. This past June, Ubisoft scheduled a second year of content for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla which ensured fans could continue playing the slowly aging title with fresh content as it churns out the next entry in the series. Part of that was ‘The Last Chapter’ which would tie together all lingering questions from the game. Of course, the story would come to a close eventually with Assassin’s Creed Mirage being announced this past September. In a new announcement recently, Ubisoft reveals the update for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is to ship this coming December 6th. Additionally, there are some greater quality of life features also being added too. On December 6, we will be releasing our final content update for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, wrapping up two amazing years of post-launch support. Title Update 1.6.2 will include some exciting new content for the game, including The Last Chapter, a touching and intimate conclusion to Eivor’s saga. This epilogue will tie up some of the storylines developed throughout the game and offer closure to your time among the Raven Clan. Ubisoft lists a few bullet points required to activate this last endeavor for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Complete the main storyline by pledging to all territories of England; Complete the mythical story arcs of Asgard and Jotunheim; Upgrade your settlement to level 5 and construct the Jomsviking barracks; Kill all targets of the Order of the Ancients and unveil its leader. Elsewhere in the blog post, Ubisoft also noted Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is despite the user outcry for New Game+, it will not be implemented for the game. However, fans that want to continue the immersion of being an assassin can find the new update will give players the option to endlessly wear a hood finally which will not overlap with the stealth mechanic in certain circumstances. Earlier this fall, Ubisoft laid out the brickwork for Assassin’s Creed Infinity. With that it unveiled both ‘Project Red’ set in feudal Japan and ‘Project Hexe’ set during the Holy Roman Empire. Ghost Recon: Breakpoint Receives Next-Gen Update In Latest Patchwork

Come the new slew of console hardware, the churn for new releases is on a steady rise. However, some of the biggest releases of the last generation still remain prominent in this wait as backwards compatibility is centered on both Xbox & PlayStation now. For Ubisoft, the firm wasted no time to enhance the experience. We saw Rainbow Six Siege welcome 120hz at the start of this new era for the platforms. Additionally, Assassin’s Creed took advantage of the opportunity. In that, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey shipped out a 60hz update which leveled out the game with next-gen expectations then. And not to mention Assassin’s Creed Origins this past spring which also shipped a similar update for the 2017 title as well at the time. This month, Ubisoft reveals Ghost Recon Breakpoint is to follow in that path as the 2019 title shared its fate to welcome new versions for Xbox Series X & PlayStation 5. But, the IP is breaking away a fairly new initiative already. In a report from Kotaku, although the team is busy conjuring the next installment, Ubisoft Quartz, a new foundation centered around NFTs, was scrapped which has Ghost Recon at the forefront. In other recent Ubisoft news regarding the newest systems, the first ever concept art for Splinter Cell Remake was revealed.
