Star Wars Jedi: Survivor sequel might be in development
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been out for almost three months and it appears a sequel is in the works. Respawn Entertainment and EA received praise for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor stating that it is the perfect sequel and the only criticism for the game was its release of the PC. A job posting first spotted by Tech4Gamers shows Respawn Entertainment looking for a Senior VFX Artist for Star Wars Jedi. You’ll notice the listing says the Star Wars Jedi franchise. It would be no surprise if Respawn Entertainment comes out with another Star Wars title after the success of its first two being Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor. The listing also shares that having experience with Unreal Engine 5 is a big plus. That would mean they are planning to upgrade its engine soon for the third installment. The other job posting was for a Sr. Combat Designer and this listing states “Star Wars Team”. With these two positions open at Respawn it could mean a number of things. Bandai Namco brings Tekken 8 and others to SDCC
Bandai Namco plans to have a strong presence at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con this July 20 – 23. The titles on display include hot and hotly anticipated games Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon , Tekken 8, Sand Land , Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. With a variety of gameplay activations, experiential installations, photo ops, and swag, attendees are welcome to participate in all of that from Bandai Namco. Tekken 8 will have a panel along with being able to play the game at the event. Details for that panel will be revealed closer to the event. Tekken 8 and Armored Core VI will be at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center which is outside of the Convention Center. You can see all of the information below. EA announces Black Panther game, developed by Cliffhanger Games
EA announced a brand new AAA studio to their family today, Cliffhanger Games who are developing an original single-player Black Panther action-adventure game. Cliffhanger is based in Seattle led by Kevin Stephens along with other industry veterans and leaders that worked on Halo Infinite, God of War, Call of Duty and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. The Black Panther game in collaboration with Marvel will be third-person and single-player like we mentioned above. Their goal is to give you a glorious game that takes you on a journey in the world of Wakanda. “Our mission is to build an expansive and reactive world that empowers players to experience what it is like to take on the mantle of Wakanda’s protector, the Black Panther.” Kevin said. In 2021 it was shared that Kevin Stephens would join a new EA division in Seattle to work on an open-world IP. It turns out this was the project that has already been at least two years in the making. Stephens was most known for his excellent work on Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. EA most recently launched Star Wars Jedi: Survivor developed by Respawn Entertainment which turned out to be great. This will be Electronic Art’s next ambitious title and we will learn more in the future. Closed Network Testing Sessions Coming To Tekken 8 Scheduled For Late July
So far, 2023 is shaping up to being one of the best years for fighting titles in recent time. Already, Street Fighter 6 released back in early June. Not to mention the later fall launch for Mortal Kombat 1 as well. Additionally, there is more on the menu for Tekken is also anticipated to make return this year too. In that, Tekken 8 was officially announced last fall. So much for Tekken since the initial reveal, Bandai Namco did give the game some spotlight at The Game Awards this past December to feature what the next entry has to offer. But, there has yet to be an official confirmation on when Tekken 8 will officially launch. But do not worry as closed testing is promised to roll out later this month. In a trailer for the ‘Closed Network Test’ for Tekken 8, it reveals two scheduled dates: July 21 – July 24 for PlayStation 5 then July 28 – July 31 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. You can watch the trailer in the video below: “The purpose of the Closed Network Test is to test the network and monitor the gameplay experience of TEKKEN 8. We aim to obtain feedback on the quality of the network and gameplay. We would greatly appreciate it if all participants could provide feedback through an online survey that we plan to send out via email after the Closed Network Test. Your valuable opinions will be used as a reference for adjustments to the battle system,” the team writes. Characters Kazuya, Jin, King, Jun, Paul, Law, Jack-8, Lars, Xiaoyu, Nina, Leroy, Asuka, Lili, Hwoarang, Bryan, and Claudio will be playable in the Closed Network Test. For stages Urban Square (Evening), Yakushima, Rebel Hangar, Sanctum, and Arena will be available. Those eligible that register will receive emails on July 19 for PlayStation 5 followed by July 26 for Xbox Series X|S & PC. Noted, the page also notes cross-play rank matches up to level 10 will be included in the Closed Network Test. Even more, Heat abilities have been altered for the closed test as ‘Heat Energy has been removed; ‘Heat Timer’ is adjusted to approach for activation; ‘Heat Smash’ is standardized for all characters. Saints Row Boot Hill Update Adds New ‘Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus’
“Neenah, Eli, Kevin, and the Boss are a great group of characters and provide a fresh perspective on the modern-day Saints. Following the fallout of the latest entry, it was revealed that Volition would be handed to Gearbox Entertainment in a statement from its parent company CEO. Since then, Saints Row has rolled out content part of its promised post-launch roadmap with ‘The Heist & The Hazardous’ add-on previously. Recently, the new Boot Hill update features a new experience derived from the story campaign with ‘Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus’. Smoke, Rain Added To Mortal Kombat 1 Roster In New Trailer
Over the course of a handful of weeks, NetherRealm Studios has managed to reveal the next installment for Mortal Kombat – Mortal Kombat 1 – and prepare its players for the release come this September. Atop of that, pre-orders are also live featuring the number of editions available to get at launch including Sheng Tsung as a bonus for purchasing ahead. Additionally, the developer featured new gameplay for the game at Summer Game Fest which only fueled the excitement as the team issues the best looking game yet for the franchise. And with these new kombat visuals also features a taxing download requirement for the game too. On PC, recommended specifications notes at least 100 GB of space is necessary to install Mortal Kombat 1. Recently, a new ‘Lin Kuei’ trailer was uploaded expanding further on the new story for Mortal Kombat 1 and featuring the addition of returning characters Rain & Smoke.
