Santa Monica Studio is looking to hire a Combat Designer with knowledge of previous God of War games

A new God of War game might be in development thanks to a job posting from Santa Monica Studio, the masterminds behind God of War 2018 and God of War Ragnarok. The PlayStation Studio is looking to hire a Combat Designer that has knowledge of the previous state God of War games. The job listing was made on Santa Monica’s website and this is how the requirement was worded: Must have knowledge of God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök (2022) and be able to speak in depth about the combat systems, mechanics, and enemies That was the last thing mentioned on a list that has lengthy requirements to be a Combat Designer. This could indicate that a new God of War game is in development and has been for quite a while. Thanks to Reddit for catch this. Nothing has been said from Sony or Santa Monica officially about a new God of War game, but only one can assume a new game will come basing off the success of the franchise as of late. The same is possible for Xbox 360. Before, it was discovered after attempting to increase the price of Xbox Live, the online pushback made the Xbox firm rethink the approach and scrap the idea. Microsoft To Close Xbox 360 Marketplace Next Summer, But Legacy Support Is To Remain On The New Systems

When it comes to the Xbox 360, many players around the globe view the console as one of the most influential releases for the entire industry. And with Microsoft still working to meet the same reach that its predecessor met years prior, many things from the system are becoming full circle more recently. One is the ongoing repairs of classic Call of Duty servers for legacy titles like Black Ops, Black Ops II, and Modern Warfare 2 being active once more. Additionally, Hyperkin is pulling on the heart strings of fans with its newest Xenon controller. The firm is rekindling the love of the Xbox 360 controller with improved features, and it only costs $49 for the wired throwback gamepad. Previously, there was some discourse for the future of legacy Xbox 360 games after delistings were active for select titles. But, Microsoft clarifies that these game can still be purchased on Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S stores. Over the years, we’ve heard stories of players who found a lifelong love of games, starting with the likes of Kameo, Gears of War, Fable 2 and other Xbox 360 classics.
