There are no plans for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom DLC says the producer

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was released for the Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023, allowing players to explore even more of Hyrule from the Sky, land, and the underground. Recently in an interview with Famitsu, Producer, Eiji Aonuma talked about a lot of different areas of the game from story to gameplay and the question about post-launch content. When asked about plans for the “next fun experience” from Fujibayashi at Famitsu, Aonuma said there are no plans for additional content because he feels like he’s done everything to create games in that world. “There are no plans to release additional content this time, but that’s because I feel like I’ve done everything I can to create games in that world. In the first place, the reason why we chose this time as a sequel to the previous game is because we thought there would be value in experiencing a new kind of play in that place in Hyrule. Then, if such a reason is newly born, it may return to the same world again. Whether it’s a sequel or a new work, I think it will be a completely new way to play, so I’d be happy if you could look forward to it.” If you were expecting to see DLC for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom you might find this to be disappointing for now, but you never know what might come up in the future. It’s safe to assume in the next Nintendo Direct supposedly planned for September 2023 that there won’t be news for a Zelda TOTK DLC. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has done well for Nintendo selling over 18.5 million copies as of June 30, 2023. You can read the entire interview between Aonuma and Famitsu here. Thanks to @Genki_JPN for pointing this out.
