A Nintendo Direct will reportedly happen next week

September is Nintendo Direct season, as the company traditionally hosts digital presentations during this month. A new report from Nintendo Universe shares that the company will host their new Direct next week between September 11 – 15, 2023. Another known insider around Nintendo, NateTheHate responded to questions on X indicating a Direct will be “soon-ish” and with the recent Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct that it doesn’t negate the other. Soon-ish. — NateTheHate2 (@NateTheHate2) September 1, 2023 Nintnedo Universe also said the format of this presentation could either be a Mini or General. If it is in fact a ‘Mini Direct’ it won’t be a live stream, but instead they’ll just post a video on YouTube to watch. There has been a Nintendo Direct every September since 2012, so it’d be a shocker to see them not host one and there are games fans are waiting to hear about such as Metroid Prime 2 Remastered. Alone in the Dark delayed to January 16, 2024

THQ Nordic and Pieces Interactive announced that the upcoming Horror game, Alone in the Dark has been delayed after it initially was planned to release in October 2023. Part of the reason they delayed this game is to avoid competing with Alan Wake II and Spider-Man 2. Alone in the Dark will now ship on January 16, 2024, and this allows the development team to perfect the gaming experience. “Our intention is to avoid competing with the wake of Alan’s epic release and to evade the dazzling skyline of cities adorned by the graceful swings of Spider-Man. We aim to truly remain as Alone in the Dark as possible. To honor this, the spine-chilling horror game has been rescheduled to unveil its horrors on January 16th, 2024. This extension will serve a dual purpose: not only will it permit us to meticulously perfect the gaming experience, but it will also grant us the opportunity to fully immerse ourselves in the remarkable releases of October.” Deep in the 1920’s South, Emily Hartwood’s uncle has gone missing. Alone in the Dark will come to PC, Xbox Series XlS and PlayStation 5 in the new year.
