Bungie reportedly delayed Marathon to a 2025 release

Bungie has been talked about a lot recently and not for good reason as the PlayStation Studio announced major layoffs. This is never good news for the individuals involved and the fans looking forward to future projects from Bungie will have to wait a little longer now. Earlier this year Bungie revealed the revival of their IP, Marathon turning it into a multiplatform PvP Extraction title. According to Bloomberg, sources close to the outlet have shared that Marathon has been delayed to 2025. Originally, Marathon was announced to be released in 2024, but it looks like with fewer people now working at the studio they’ll need more time to finish the project. Since this new game is most likely delayed, what does this mean for the reported project codename ‘Gummy Bears’?  Source: Bloomberg
