Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition has been rated

The ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) has been busy rating games recently and the latest new game to be rated is Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition. Bandai Namco looks to be releasing the yet-to-be-announced remaster on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XlS, and PC. The Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition was first rated in South Africa in January 2023 (thanks Gematsu). Here is what the description reads: This is an adventure platformer in which players assume the role of a girl (Six) who must escape a nightmarish world. As players traverse the environment, they run, jump, climb, and sneak around to avoid enemies (e.g., leaches, large human-like creatures). Getting caught usually results in short death scenes: corrupted souls eating Six whole; leeches strangling Six to death. One sequence depicts a pool of blood around a fallen boss after Six attacks her out of hunger; another sequence allows players to electrocute a character by dropping a TV into a pool. A hanging corpse and various blood stains are also depicted in some environments. A recent rating found on ESRB’s website was for Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door which was previously announced in September. The game could be coming sooner than expected. In August, Bandai Namco revealed Little Nightmares III which is coming to all platforms in 2024. Source: Wario64
Review: House Flipper 2

Developer – Frozen District, PlayWay S.A. Publisher – Frozen District, Empyrean Platforms – PS5,Xbox Series S|X, PC (Reviewed) Review copy given by Developer House Flipper 2 is a sequel that truly understands the essence of improvement. It takes the solid foundation of the original game and builds upon it, introducing new mechanics and revamping the old ones. The game retains the good old hammer, the trusty paint roller, and the sturdy mop, all of which have been visually enhanced to look crisper than ever before. In House Flipper 2, you’re not just a renovator, but a foreman. You get to decide what ‘relaxing gameplay’ means to you. Whether you enjoy the meticulous process of building in Sandbox Mode, or prefer the satisfaction of cleaning and decorating in Story Mode, House Flipper 2 caters to your preferences. One of the game’s big improvements is the mentioned innovative Sandbox Mode. Why renovate a house when you can build one from scratch? This mode allows players to create and share their own houses and jobs. It also includes a Trash Generator for dirtying the landscape and landscaping tools for more creative freedom. This feature adds a new layer of depth and freedom to the gameplay, making House Flipper 2 more engaging and versatile. However, building from scratch is no easy task. It requires extra effort and dedication, which might be overwhelming for some players. This is one of the minor flaws in the game. While it adds to the realism and challenge, it might deter players looking for a more casual experience. Another improvement is the introduction of flexible floor heights. Unlike House Flipper 1, which had hard-coded floor levels, House Flipper 2 allows players to determine the height of floors. This feature adds a new dimension to the building process, making the game more realistic and immersive. Another nice addition is the Terrain Sculpting Tool. This tool enables players to create bunkers or basements underground. It’s a unique addition that allows for more complex and interesting designs, further enhancing the gameplay experience. The final improvement worth mentioning is the game’s narrative. Your old pal Tom, who seems to know everybody in the neighborhood, will gladly share some local knowledge with you. This narrative element adds depth to the gameplay, making each renovation project feel personal and meaningful. While the narrative element is a welcome addition, it can sometimes feel intrusive and disrupt the flow of gameplay. Players who prefer to focus solely on the renovation aspect might find this feature distracting. Another minor flaw is related to the new Edit Wiring Tool. While this tool adds a layer of realism and complexity to the electrical aspects of house building, it might be a bit challenging for players without electrical knowledge. Overall , House Flipper 2 is a commendable sequel that successfully enhances the gameplay of the original. It introduces new mechanics, improves existing ones, and provides a richer, more immersive gaming experience. Despite a few minor flaws, it’s a game that will make both renovation veterans and newcomers feel at home in no time.
