Will Fallout Come To Nintendo Switch?

Fallout is one of the most popular open-world, post-apocalyptic video game series out there today and it was never possible to play them on the Nintendo platform. With the Fallout TV Series becoming popular on Prime Video, the popularity has skyrocketed for all of the Fallout games across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. Is Fallout coming to the Switch? It’s hard to say Bethesda never made an effort to put Fallout games on the Nintendo Switch as they released Fallout Shelter on the platform. As for the main series of games like Fallout 4, Fallout 76, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas, they never made it to the Nintendo Switch and it’s tough to say if they ever will. The likely reason we never saw a Fallout game come to the Nintendo Switch would probably be due to performance issues. Bethesda likely asked themselves whether these games could run properly on the console. There’s no doubt they want to put Fallout on another platform to gain sales since they do have The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim available to play on the Switch. Could Fallout ever come to the Switch platform? When Nintendo releases its next console, which is expected to be more powerful than the Switch, there is a possibility that we may see games like Fallout 4 on a Nintendo console. Fallout 5 is still years away and at the earliest, it would launch in 2030.

Review: Surmount

Developer – Jasper Oprel, Indiana-Jonas Publisher – Jasper Oprel, Indiana-Jonas , Popagenda Platforms – Nintendo Switch, PC (Reviewed) Review copy given by Publisher (Popagenda) Brace yourself for an exhilarating journey into the heart of a new physics-based platforming adventure, as you embark on a thrilling escapade, that will keep you on the edge of your seat as you navigate through the breathtaking landscapes of Mount Om. From meticulously handcrafted obstacles to dynamically generated challenges, every step of your mountain-climbing expedition promises excitement and adrenaline, all the while following a silly story with eccentric folks along the way. Whether you choose to embark on this daring quest solo or with a companion by your side, linked together by a single tethered rope, you must master the art of ascent, as you chase the ultimate prize: the peak of perfection. The idea/goal of the game is pretty simple, you play the game by jumping off platforms, grabbing rocky outcrops, and using momentum to carry you up Mount Om to become the best mountain climber there is. The aim is to get past tricky sections by extending jumps and swings to get higher up the mountain in hopes of reaching the summit. If you ask me, there are many things that help make this game stand out, such as its approachable physics-based climbing system, which strikes the perfect balance between challenge and accessibility. Adding to the game’s irresistible charm are its eccentric characters, whose “Animal Crossing-like” speech bubbles and infectious humor bring the world of “Surmount” to life. From quirky quest-givers to lovable locals, each interaction is a delightful romp through a world brimming with personality and wit. Within the game, a plethora of items and upgrades await, providing ample opportunities for personalization and enhancement as you ascend the mountain’s heights. Whether it’s fortifying your gear for greater resilience against the mountain’s challenges or refining your appearance to reflect your journey’s progress, the options for customization are abundant, ensuring that every step of your ascent is tailored to your unique style and preferences. Once you get to the top, the fun doesn’t stop ! Surmount offers a Daily Mountain challenge, that offers a ton of replayability and a new unique challenge every day. The game is pretty great and there isn’t a ton of major issues, but one that got me angry was the shortcut cannon, and no proper way to restart without replaying from the beginning of a level/area. Another annoyance was some of the obstacles you must navigate around, which can block your view of your character or other objects to grab onto, although minor, it does cause more annoyance than it being a challenge. Overall, Surmount offers an expedition into the heart of adventure, with its seamless blend of procedural and handmade levels, approachable physics-based climbing mechanics, and a cast of eccentric characters, it’s easy to say Surmount is an experience that’s as delightful as it is challenging.
