How To Unlock Fighters In MultiVersus

MultiVersus released with a wide variety of fighters for players to unlock and with a free-to-play fighting game like this there are a few ways you can acquire these fighters. When you first start the game you’ll have access to characters, but for a limited time and they’ll reset to others letting players get a feel of the fighter in case they’d like to unlock them. Unlocking fighters in MultiVersus isn’t like other fighting titles like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. To unlock fighters you can use Gleamium, the premium in-game currency, or the Fighter currency that is slowly earned from playing the game. To unlock fighters in MultiVersus with Gleamium it will cost you 1,000 for each character. The reason this seems cheaper is because Gleamium can be acquired with real money. If you want to unlock characters with the Fighter currency, you’ll need to save 3,000 of it to spend on one character. The other way to unlock fighters in MultiVersus is through the Battle Pass as there will be exclusive characters only available through there like Jason Voorhees.

Review: Tevi

Developer – CreSpirit Publisher – PM Studios Platforms – PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 (reviewed) Review copy given by publisher Nowadays there’s always another indie Metroidvania releasing with a unique twist of sorts. Well did you know of a little title called Tevi, a game categorized as a Metroidvania with bullet hell elements? It was released back on PC and Nintendo Switch back in 2023 but has now made its way onto PlayStation 5! Developed by CreSpirit and published by PM Studios, Tevi can be seen as the spiritual successor to Rabi-Ribi, a 2D side scrolling exploration platformer. Get ready for an epic journey filled with mystery, magic, and mayhem! Set in the world of Az, Tevi has you take on the role of the titular character, Tevi, a rabbit (?) who proclaims to be a genius, set off on a journey to search for Astral Gears. You are accompanied by Celia, an angel Magitech as well as Sable, an innocent demon. The narrative of Tevi weaves a tale of intrigue and magic, where the world is scarred by ancient conflicts. As Tevi, you seek answers about your past and the enigmatic events that shaped this realm. Tevi’s memories are fragmented, and her journey becomes a quest for self-discovery. Throughout the game, you’ll encounter powerful artifacts left behind by a lost civilization. These relics hold the key to unlocking Tevi’s true potential and understanding the world’s history.  The gameplay of Tevi is mainly that of a Metroidvania, where you acquire new skills that allow you to traverse previously inaccessible areas. These include the dash, slide, and double jump, just to name a few. With this also comes platforming of course. I didn’t really vibe with the fact that you can’t drop below platforms you’re standing on, but that’s a minor gripe. Controls feel refined, responsive, and smooth. Level design is great and naturally brings you back to areas that unlock further subareas and hidden paths. The lush, interconnected world of Az boasts over 40 areas waiting to be explored. From serene forests to treacherous toxic depths, each location holds hidden secrets and challenges. Tevi is equipped with both a trusty dagger and an oversized wrench. Her melee attacks are as stylish as they are deadly. Her two friends, Celia, and Sable, as mentioned above, assist you in combat in the form of two floating balls that can be used to fire projectiles. Each orb provides different bullet types and contains different properties depending on the situation you are in. For example, Celia can fire homing missiles whereas Sable can pierce through enemies. Using ranged attacks consumes mana, which can be restored fairly quickly. Perhaps the most impressive part is the exhaustive sigil system in Tevi. This is where you can customize and tweak your character’s build with hundreds of different abilities to unlock and tons of equipment to collect. There are a ton of sigils to craft, some of which provide basic stat boosts or heal you whereas some others can be incredibly complex to use. Nonetheless, the game is balanced and fair, and provides an incredible amount of depth if you want to dive deep.  Bosses, of course, are a spectacle too, forcing you to use all the tools in your arsenal. These intense action sequences are often multi-phased, and where the bullet hell-ness of the game truly comes into play. Timing, strategy, and reflexes are crucial as you strive to overcome these challenging foes. The normal mobs are alright and some areas suffer from repetitive enemy placement, which can diminish the overall experience. Tevi obviously contains elements of fan service and anime tropes, which may or may not mesh well with you given your tastes. Dialogue is generally delivered through static visual novel-esque panels. You can skip through these if you desire, so don’t feel you need to sit through slogs of text before you can jump back into the action. The PlayStation 5 port of Tevi is fantastic, with ultra fast load times, and excellent performance. It only takes up a little over 1 GB on your console too. With a VRR supported display, this game runs at 120 frames per second and takes only 5 seconds to load in. 6 difficulty modes are offered: Cakewalk, Picnic, Normal, Hard, Expert, and Infernal BBQ (yes you read that correctly) along with custom game modes such as free roam. These can be tweaked and changed at any time in-game as well. The PS5 version contains 66 trophies for a Platinum, and you’ll definitely get your money’s worth if you choose to do everything there is to do. The game features in-game subtitles in English, Japanese, Chinese, but only dialogue audio in Japanese. The Japanese voice overs are fantastic, as the game features well-known VAs such as Lynn, Yoko Hikasa, and Natsumi Fujiwara. This is not to mention the addictive soundtrack that plays in the background. I could sit for hours listening to the title track alone. There’s even a streamer friendly mode so you don’t get any copyright strikes! Tevi is a fantastic 2D Metroidvania with a colorful cast of characters. The visuals are appealing, the audio is bopping, and the game is accessible to players of all backgrounds. Whether you’re a fan of bullet hell shooters, Metroidvania games, or simply crave an immersive adventure, Tevi promises an unforgettable experience.

Reported Remakes At Capcom Includes Resident Evil 0 & Code Veronica

At Capcom, a large portion of its recent success is thanks to the recent string of remake releases – especially from its Resident Evil property. Of course, the firm is interested to see if there is a demand for more franchises to follow the same path. In one survey, Capcom held ‘Super Elections’ asking if there’s drive by consumers on select remakes including Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, Okami, Ace Attorney, and even Dino Crisis. Currently, it is understood that Capcom is preparing yet another Resident Evil remake. In one rumor on X, it was indicated plans for the next remake is the first Resident Evil. What’s more, notorious leaker Dusk Golem also had corroborating sources sharing similar information with plans to release in 2025. Now in a new update from the leaker, and backed by Video Game Chronicle editor-in-chief Andy Robinson, plans for the next remakes include Resident Evil 0 as well as Code Veronica. What’s more, the leaker also denounced the previous rumors surrounding any form of remake for the original Resident Evil. “A remake of Resident Evil Zero & Code Veronica in development right now,” Dusk Golem says in the X thread. “I’ve talked to many others behind the scenes about this at this point, it’s something I heard over a year ago, think it was going to get out whether I was the one to say it or not, & that’s about it.” Atop condemning the prior remake rumor, the leaker also notes plans for Resident Evil 5 – at least anticipated in the order Capcom is heading – is not being planned internally either. Dusk Golem does elaborate on the next mainline title. In that, Resident Evil 9 is now planning for a late 2025 release. The user even dismisses any hope for a summer 2024 reveal for the flagship title. The original report indicated a release for early 2025. You can read the full report by heading here. Take-Two CEO Speaks On Price Dynamics In Anticipation For Grand Theft Auto VI During Recent Earnings Call

Upon the arrival of the Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5, many developers and publishers were ushering a new standard for pricing big budget titles. After more than a generation of hardware normalized $60 USD, that would bump up to $70 in 2020. The initiative was pioneered by Take-Two Interactive when it revealed its upcoming NBA 2K title would feature the update pricing. By 2021, Take-Two Interactive reiterated on the decision with CEO Strauss Zelnick stating the choice was to be weighed by quality of the game and how much value is included in its titles. And now with Grand Theft Auto VI now on the way with a new update paving a fall 2025 release timeframe, many are concerned this game could be valued even higher than prior. After waiting more than a decade for the new flagship title, it is anticipated by many players the price could find itself at $100 just for the base version. During its recent earnings call, and transcribed by GameSpot, Zelnick elaborated on ‘dynamic pricing’ for video games in the industry as raising prices see no ceiling still. “Look, there’s more content constantly being made available, and we really aim to deliver great value at any given time. We’re so focused on delivering more value than what we charge. And that’s sort of the rubric. And any time we establish a price, we want to make sure that it’s good news for the consumer; that the experience vastly over delivers in the context of the cost. That’s the goal.” The concern for Take-Two Interactive overpricing Grand Theft Auto VI swells thanks to other examples by publishers like Ubisoft. At the release of Skull and Bones, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot framed the game in being an ‘AAAA’ experience which fairly priced the title at $70. That on top of the more recent pricing for Star Wars Outlaws with its Deluxe Edition priced over $100. Are you concerned about growing prices for video games?
