Avowed is reportedly being delayed to early 2025

Obsidian Entertainment, the developers behind The Outer Wilds have been working on and planning to release action role-playing game, Avowed soon. It was originally announced that Avowed will be released in Fall 2024, but Microsoft and Obsidian have been quiet regarding an official release date. It was originally believed that Avowed would release on November 12, 2024, after a blog post temporarily leaked the date, but was quickly edited. It is now being reported by The Verge’s Tom Warren where he reveals in his recent Notepad that Microsoft is about to delay Avowed slightly, into early 2025. The reasoning isn’t because the game is in a bad state, but it’s because Microsoft wants to “give the game breathing room outside of a very busy period for Xbox Game Pass”. The good news to come out of this is that Avowed is still in great shape and it’s more of timing the release perfectly so it can get the attention it deserves. This Holiday Microsoft might have a busy schedule with Black Ops 6 coming out on October 25 and Indiana Jones and The Great Circle planned to release around December. It remains to be seen what else Xbox Game Studios has cooking over the next few months as far as more new games. In 2025, Fable and South of Midnight are expected to be released in the first half of the year, with more to come from Xbox.
Apex Legends Season 22 – Shockwave Enters New Map ‘E-District’ And Akimbo Weapons Are Coming

While initially perceived as a breath of fresh air for the battle royale, Apex Legends Season 21 – Upheaval has instead left players questioning the state for one of the industry’s most popular live-service titles. Not only did the long-requested Solos mode make its return for Apex Legends, but Quads also entered the game as well as part of the previous Double Take Collection Event. What’s more, Respawn Entertainment at one point did hijack the trust of its players. Enter Season 22, the new battle pass would undo the rhythm that it maintained and instead would charge double for the season pass essentially. It did eventually undo this option for the Premium Battle Pass in a recent update, but players are hesitant towards what the next season offers. On Thursday, Respawn Entertainment released the gameplay trailer for Season 22 – Shockwave and it offers more than expected. Not only is a new map being added to the rotation, but new weapon variants are also included – akimbo. You can watch the new trailer in the video below: “Set your sights on a new site: E-District, a map built for verticality and instant, continuous action. This densely packed urban oasis has seen blackouts, riots, and a chemical attack at Humbert Labs all in its recent past. Now, thanks to the generosity of the Mercenary Syndicate, it’s been cleaned, powered up, and transformed for your entertainment. Every block of this high-rise battleground has a story to tell.” The blog post continues, “Akimbo has made it to the Outlands! Dual wield two P2020s or two Mozambiques (not one of each) this season. Find and interact with a second P2020 or Mozambique and to automatically enter Akimbo mode. In Akimbo, both the P2020s and Mozambiques will benefit from automatic firing and increased rate of fire. Attachments will be mirrored to the second weapon (no need to find two light magazines or bolts), however optics will be disabled. “With Shockwave, we’re growing Battle Sense with two new features: temporary health bars and highlights that appear while you’re dealing damage to an enemy. But keep your eyes on the elimination prize—if you lose line of sight, the health bar disappears. Enemies will also be highlighted in red, making them easier to spot against the landscape around them and differentiate them from your squadmates.” How excited are you for Apex Legends newest season? You Can Build The Fortnite Battle Bus With This New Lego Set Later This Year

For most video game franchises, you can deem that the series officially ‘made it’ when there is an official Lego set available in retail. Some of the most prolific IPs were adapted into Lego over the course of a decade. We witnessed this with Nintendo plenty already for both Super Mario & Animal Crossing. And, The Legend of Zelda is also on that list now for a new set coming this September. Additionally, there are other iconic games that welcomed the same treatment. Previously, an entire live of sets for Sonic the Hedgehog shipped for store shelves. However, very few games did the complete opposite bringing Lego to the IP. We witnessed this with Fortnite last year. In that, the battle royale rolled out ‘Lego Fortnite’ which offers a new realm to create & play with Lego in Fortnite fashion. Now to return the favor, Lego is preparing to roll out a Battle Bus Lego set for this fall. Atop of the new $99 set, there will also be additional sets such as ‘Supply Llama’, ‘Durrr Burger’, and ‘Peely Bone’ all costing $39.99, $14.99, and $99.99 respectively. Alike the Battle Bus, all four Fortnite Lego sets are prepared to release this October. “Ignite imaginations with the LEGO® Fortnite Battle Bus (77073) video game toy for fans aged 10 and up. Based on the exciting video game, the building set lets gamers create a cool Fortnite vehicle,” the description from the Lego set page reads. “Fans journey into the exciting LEGO Fortnite world as they build the bus, which has rolling wheels and a removable roof, and the instantly recognizable hot-air balloon. But that’s just the start! Once the bus is complete, they’ll delight in discovering iconic accessories such as Slurp Juice, a Grappler, Pickaxes and Slap Juice, as well as 9 minifigures of iconic Fortnite outfits. Bringing the adventure to life, these can be seated inside the bus to fuel creative role play.” Are you excited to build your own Fortnite Battle Bus? The Legend Of Zelda Gets Its First LEGO Set With ‘Great Deku Tree’ Coming Next Month

When it comes to Lego, the brand has expanded immensely with gaming now a major focus for future collaborations. One of the biggest surprises to come from this effort is the upcoming Lego Horizon Adventures. Scheduled to arrive later this year, it is planned to ship for PlayStation as well as PC & Nintendo Switch. Sony itself even said this was a decision internally rather than shoehorned from Lego itself. Additionally, Nintendo has offered its IPs to make Legos in the past. We’ve witnessed this with Super Mario over a dozen times with its unique interactive Mario sets that have been out for a few years now. Elsewhere, we also witnessed Animal Crossing also enter the conversation with at least a handful of different sets that are available on store shelves currently. Now scheduled to release in September, a Lego set based on The Legend of Zelda is planned to launch. For $299, players can relive the nostalgia of ‘The Great Deku Tree’ from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The bundle includes variant minifigures from the classic N64 title as well as the modern titles for its minifigures. “Immerse yourself in creative joy as you build one of two detailed models of The Legend of Zelda™ Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 (77092) in this LEGO® Nintendo® gift set. The building set for adults makes a special display piece for yourself or any other fan with a passion for The Legend of Zelda series and merch. It includes curated items from the games, such as the Ocarina of Time, the Hylian Shield, the Master Sword and other detailed elements. “There’s also a collectible adventure hero minifigure of Princess Zelda and 3 minifigure versions of Link. An impressive display piece, this buildable model features 2 versions of the Great Deku Tree from The Legend of Zelda series, as seen in either Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild, plus Link’s house and more. Each version also has posable facial features and accessible panels on the sides.” Do you plan to get this Legend of Zelda Lego set? The Great Deku Tree Lego set is available in September 1, 2024.
