Review: Neo Harbor Rescue Squad
Developer – BancyCo Publisher – BancyCo Platforms – PS4/5, PC (Reviewed) Review copy given by Developer The amount of mashed-up game genres makes it very challenging to describe what this game truly is, but the best way to explain Neo Harbor Rescue Squad is a Visual novel with a battle-like triage system for patient care, mixed with master dozens of treatment minigames that feel like you’re playing Wario-Ware. In Neo Harbor, You live the life of a rookie paramedic who must juggle waves of patients and triage and give them proper treatment, while trying to win the city’s recognition from the rival fire department. The heart of Neo Harbor Rescue Squad lies in its fast-paced triage system. As a player, you’re tasked with monitoring multiple patients’ health, assessing their damage levels, and determining who needs immediate attention. This isn’t just a button-mashing rescue simulator; it’s a game of prioritization and resource management. The ability to switch between different scenes, each with its own set of challenges, keeps the tension high and the gameplay dynamic. The introduction of shields adds a strategic layer, allowing you to temporarily protect patients from harm. These brief moments of reprieve offer just enough time to rethink your approach and adjust your tactics. Your performance is graded on speed, skill, and patient outcomes, pushing you to perfect your emergency response to achieve that coveted high rank. One of the standout features of Neo Harbor Rescue Squad is its collection of quickfire minigames, which inject a burst of energy and variety into the core gameplay. These minigames are reminiscent of the beloved WarioWare series, known for its rapid, ever-changing challenges that test reflexes, adaptability, and decision-making under pressure. In Neo Harbor Rescue Squad, these minigames are interwoven seamlessly into the main gameplay loop, often triggered during intense rescue scenarios. They serve specific purposes, such as stabilizing patients, repairing medical equipment, or dealing with environmental hazards. Each minigame is short, usually lasting no more than a few seconds, but they require quick thinking and precision to succeed. The story isn’t just a backdrop; it’s a core component. You’ll engage in dialogue choices that shape your relationships with squadmates and the public, adding a human element to the high-pressure scenarios. The game strikes a balance between intense life-saving moments and lighthearted camaraderie, even weaving in stories of dolphins to provide comic relief. Inspired by real paramedic tales from Asia, the narrative is both authentic and heartwarming. Neo Harbor Rescue Squad shines in its presentation and accessibility. Whether you prefer a gamepad, keyboard, or even mouse for certain minigames, the game ensures a seamless experience. It supports a wide range of controllers, allowing players to switch between control methods effortlessly. Visually, the game supports resolutions up to native 4K with multiple display modes (fullscreen, windowed, and borderless). Customization is key, with separate audio sliders for music, sound effects, and ambiance, as well as toggles for Vsync and screen shake to fine-tune your experience. Neo Harbor Rescue Squad successfully melds the thrill of managing life-and-death situations with a compelling narrative about teamwork and friendship. Its unique gameplay mechanics, combined with thoughtful story elements and high-quality presentation, make it a standout title in the strategy genre. Whether you’re aiming for the top rank or simply enjoying the emotional journey, this game offers something for everyone. And let’s be honest—any game that can make you laugh with a story about dolphins while keeping you on the edge of your seat deserves a place in your library.
Black Ops 6 will reportedly have a Halo, DOOM, and Gears of War Collaboration
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is reportedly going to have multiple collaborations with Xbox IP. According to Fumo Leaks and VondyIsPog, Black Ops 6 will have a crossover with Halo, DOOM, and Gears of War. The expectation is that Master Chief and DOOM Slayer will be joining the game as an operator. As for the Gears of War collaboration, it remains to be seen. It was leaked in October that a collaboration between Halo & Modern Warfare III was planned earlier this year, but it was either canceled or delayed. It wouldn’t be too much of a shock if a collaboration with Halo, DOOM, and Gears of War does come at some point. Also with larger cross-overs, they might have limited-time game modes for players to enjoy, but that part would remain to be seen. As always with leaks like these we must take them with a grain of salt until Activision and Treyarch make it official.

Today, Epic Games announced that Fortnite OG will arrive on December 6, 2024, and it will be here to stay. Fortnite OG will start with Chapter 1 Season 1 along with the OG Map, and OG Loot, and the OG Seasons will be rotated throughout the year. Those who are enjoying the current state of Fortnite will still be able to enjoy it. Fortnite OG will be nostalgic to those who have been with the Battle Royale since day one. It appears that other developers have noticed this trend, as Blizzard has announced that Overwatch 2 will introduce a limited-time game mode called ‘Overwatch Classic.’ This mode will feature all the original heroes, maps, and gameplay mechanics from May 2016. What do you think of the “OG” trend making a return to popular games?
PlayStation Says PSN Requirement For PC Will Remain For The Safety Of Its Users
The ongoing support for PlayStation titles coming to PC shows no sign of stopping anytime soon. This commitment to offering multiplatform content outside of the PlayStation Store has shown to grow in recent years. The most recent example of this is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 which is set to arrive next year in 2025. However, there is some pushback with the PlayStation Network requirement for its titles including God of War Ragnarok & Until Dawn before. The most polarizing was during the initial release for Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers 2. It was decided weeks after the game that a new bypass would be in place to continue playing the game. This lead to a mass exodus of players that did not align with the decision. Ultimately, the firm decided against the plan and pulled the effort entirely. Howbeit, games after are still victim to this. And with more games of course to hit Steam in the future, PlayStation reveals its doubling-down on this move. Speaking at a Q&A session for its financial report – as per GamesRadar – Sony president Hiroki Totoki confirms that the requirement will remain in place to protect its users. The PlayStation accounts that we have offered – well actually, by offering them, for instance, sometimes that tends to invite pushback. But for the live service games, in order to maintain order of the gaming so that anybody can enjoy the games safely, we need to create an environment conducive to that and, of course, enjoying the game freely. Totoki continued: “Having some restrictions, may not call it rule, but to ask the users and gamers to follow the manner, those manners are very important and we have to continue to seek the best way to achieve this.” Understanding that this decision does come in good nature, it does certainly leave more questions than answers. For one, the titles mostly that ask for this PlayStation Network protocol are single player titles. Effort of live-service that Totoki is acknowledging are Helldivers 2 which removed said requirement. And, Concord: the most recent live-service attempt that the firm shuttered the developer earlier this month. Are you surprised by this comment from PlayStation?
Review: Temtem Swarm
Developer – Crema, GGTech Studios Publisher – Crema Platforms – PC (Reviewed) Review copy given by Developer (Crema) NOTE: The following review is based on Exclusive Early Demo /Early Access Builds of the Game, This review reflects the game at the time of publishing. The Temtem universe has long captured the hearts of gamers with its vibrant environments and strategic monster-taming gameplay. Originating as a massively multiplayer online creature-collection adventure, Temtem quickly established itself as a formidable alternative to similar titles in the genre. Now, the universe expands with Temtem Swarm, a thrilling spin-off that brings a fresh, fast-paced survival twist to the beloved franchise. Temtem Swarm takes the colorful world of the Archipelago and turns it on its head. Here, once-friendly Tems have become feral monstrosities, relentlessly attacking in overwhelming waves. This isn’t your traditional turn-based combat; it’s a frenetic, adrenaline-fueled fight for survival in a “bullet heaven” where every moment counts. Players can face this chaos solo or team up with up to three friends in an online co-op mode that emphasizes synergy and strategy. Each run in Swarm is a test of adaptability and resourcefulness. The key lies in capturing and evolving Tems to unlock their full potential. From devastating Ultimates that clear the screen to defensive abilities that shield you from the relentless swarm, the game gives players the tools to tailor their playstyle. Will you use Nessla’s lightning strikes to fry the horde or rely on Gharunder’s durability to tank through the chaos? The choice is yours, and the possibilities are vast. The gameplay is a unique blend of survivor-style minimalism and the strategy-rich mechanics of Temtem. Players collect XP by defeating enemies, allowing their Tems to level up and evolve. These evolutions provide significant boosts, essential for withstanding the increasingly punishing waves. Collecting new Tems is more than a completionist’s dream; each creature offers unique Traits and Ultimate abilities, encouraging players to experiment and discover overpowered combinations. Boss battles are a highlight, with iconic Tems like Yowlar and Oceara taking center stage. These encounters demand quick reflexes, strategic thinking, and flawless teamwork. Coordinating with your allies to time Ultimates and share resources can mean the difference between glorious victory and a swarm-induced wipeout. The cooperative aspect of Temtem Swarm is where the game truly shines. Players can revive fallen comrades, ensuring the action never slows down. The addition of Ghost Mode allows downed players to support their team, turning what could have been a frustrating setback into an opportunity for clutch saves. The game fosters a sense of camaraderie, making each victory feel like a shared triumph. As the first spin-off, Temtem Swarm successfully expands the Temtem universe while retaining the charm and strategic depth that fans adore. It introduces a new style of gameplay that feels both fresh and familiar, offering hours of chaotic fun for both solo players and groups of friends. Whether you’re a veteran tamer or a newcomer looking for a challenge, Swarm is a must-play addition to the franchise.

New Update For Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Adds Lighting Visuals Of The Originals
Regarded as one of the most prolific trilogies in gaming is the PlayStation 2 era of Grand Theft Auto titles: III, Vice City, and San Andreas. Learning that all three will be featured in an all-new remaster for modern hardware was enough for players to repurchase the game. But, the execution of the project was left having players more upset than satisfied. And with many patches that came after, these games were still not to the came cut as the originals. Since then, Rockstar Games has worked effortlessly to extend the reach for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. We witnessed this with the game’s addition to GTA+ in the past. More excitingly was the addition to the Netflix. Alongside a proper release for iPhone 15 Pro & Pro Max devices, the game has faced over 18 million installs on the platform. One aspect that the mobile version trumps the original console/PC release is the lighting. The feature strikes the same cords as the originals that were released two decades ago. But in a new update that rolled out, it is revealed that the classic lighting mechanics are now in the full game. While no official patch notes were released, GTA-centered poster TJGM_ on X documented the new feature. In its noted that Rockstar Games did base this update after the newer mobile version which introduced the classic lighting to Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. More in that, it also appears that cloud quality settings are missing once the classic lighting option is turned on. Moreover, it is suggested this was implemented since the toggle was not available for the mobile version. Additionally, Rockstar Games is also erasing the damage of the original release for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition as well. It is also identified that the initial splash screen when booting up the game has also removed any signs of Groove Street Games. Understandably after the resentment many shared for the initial release of the remaster trilogy. Are you excited for this new update for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition? Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is out now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS.
