FuturLab ends support for PowerWash Simulator VR

FuturLab, the developers of PowerWash Simulator across PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch, announced they will be ending support of PowerWash Simulator VR. The developer states they love and believe in VR but feel they are unable to continue with the support of PowerWash Simulator VR right now. They believe in VR and give hope about the possibility of returning to support it in the future. Here is the statement from Kirsty Rigden, CEO of FuturLab: “We have been faced with a cross roads: we have a truly excellent and kind VR team who were working on a platform which costs us more than it makes, while also having a list of job openings that were looking to be filled on other projects. We took the decition to redeploy our VR team into those other projects/roles. Whilst I would love to live in a world where we could support PowerWash Simulator on every platform going, I will always choose job security for my team. Every time. While I know that you must be so disappointed, I also knowthat if you were in my position you would have made the same decision.” This news comes a few days after FuturLab announced PowerWash Simulator will be getting a Wallace & Gromit Special Pack DLC in the future. The popular simulator has continued to bring more collaborations to the table every year including Shrek, SpongeBob, Alice in Wonderland, and more. Can I Still Buy PowerWash Simulator VR? While support is ending for PowerWash Simulator VR, players will still be able to purchase the game. Just don’t expect any more updates including DLC to be added to that version of the game. The VR version of PowerWash Simulator is available on the Meta Store for $24.99 USD.

Bungie’s new project is reportedly inspired by Super Smash Bros.

It has been known publicly that Bungie Studios has been working on a new MOBA codenamed ‘Gummy Bears‘. All we really know is the concept art the studio shared one time a couple of years ago. Project Gummy Bears was in development at Bungie along with Marathon, but now the game is being handled by a new PlayStation Studio. The Game Post also reports that 40 Bungie developers are working on project Gummy Bears. Gummy Bears Inspired By Super Smash Bros. While Gummy Bears is a MOBA at heart, it apparently has elements that are inspired by Nintendo’s biggest fighting game, Super Smash Bros. That is according to sources close to The Game Post. The outlet claims players will not have traditional health bars, instead, the game uses a “percentage-based damage system, where characters are knocked back further on how much damage they’ve taken or inflicted”. Gummy Bears will also feature multiple game modes that cater to various players, and three different classes: Support, Attack, and Defense. As always we must take rumors like these with a grain of salt until it has been made official by Bungie and PlayStation.

Mai comes to Street Fighter 6 on February 5

Capcom announced that SNK’s alluring Kunoichi Mai Shiranui will be joining the Street Fighter 6 roster on February 5, 2025, across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Mai will be the second guest character in Street Fighter history. Mai’s movesets are inspired by a variety of SNK classics with the modern touches of Street Fighter 6 mechanics. Players will be able to use Mai across all three game modes, including Fighting Ground and Battle Hub. Here are the different movesets for Mai: Kachousen: Mai throws her fan like a fireball. When used normally, the fan loses to other projectiles and your opponent’s strikes can knock them down. But when you hold down the input, they can no longer be neutralized by strikes. In addition, if the fan hits an opponent, it will pop up and fall down on them for another hit. Ryuuenbu: Spin forward in a fiery blaze for combos or to control space. Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi: Perform a cartwheel and fly towards opponents to elbow them. The OD version sends Mai into the air to follow up on the attack or to surprise opponents below. Hishou Ryuuenjin: Mai’s dragon punch, which works as an effective anti-air as she delivers a flying upwards kick bathed in flame. Kagerou no Mai: Mai’s Level 1 Super Art, she sets the immediate vicinity on fire, which can be useful as an anti-air move or combo ender. The move also gives Mai five Flame Stocks which give all of Mai’s special moves and Level 1 and 2 Super Arts special properties. Chou Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi: Mai’s Level 2 Super Art where she rushes forward in a blaze of glory that can get around projectiles. Shiranui Ryuu: Enbu Ada Zakura: Mai’s Level 3 Super Art, she flies like a butterfly and stings like a bee in a series of elegant fan strikes. Mai will be ready for players who own or purchase the Year 2 Character Pass or the Year 2 Ultimate Pass, and can also be purchased with Fighter Coins. Mai also drops with two Outfits. Outfit 1 is reminiscent of her classic style across SNK’s historic Fatal Fury series while Outfit 2 will be themed around her newest look in the upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Outfit 2 can be acquired via Fighter Coins or by maxing out your bond with her on the World Tour. Mai In Street Fighter 6
