Since last year it has been no surprise that Microsoft will continue to support other platforms including PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. With the Switch 2 being revealed and the Xbox Developer Direct having just passed, Phil Spencer was interviewed talking about Nintendo’s new console.  Through a new interview with Gamertag Radio on YouTube, Phil Spencer confirmed Xbox will be supporting the Switch 2. This doesn’t come as a surprise since we’ve already seen Grounded, Pentiment, and Minecraft make their way to the Nintendo Switch.  The Microsoft Gaming CEO said he exchanged words with Furukawa-san, the CEO of Nintendo: “I was exchanging emails with Furukawa-san, the CEO of Nintendo. I gave him a big congrats and said my old eyes appreciate the larger screen.” “Nintendo, their innovation, and what they mean in this industry… I just always applaud the moves that they make. They did a little flash video, and I know we’ll get more detail over time. I’m really looking forward to supporting them with the games that we have, and I just think they’re a really important part of this industry.” Thank you, VGC for sharing this quote.  What Xbox Games Will Release On Switch 2? Spencer’s comments suggest that more iconic Xbox titles are likely to be released on the Switch 2 and PS5. Previous rumors have indicated that titles such as Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and Doom: The Dark Ages will be coming to the Switch 2. Rectify Gaming created a list of 5 Xbox games that should be released on the Nintendo Switch 2. That list includes Sea of Thieves, Forza Horizon 5, and more. At this rate, anything is possible for what Xbox has coming in the future as they are about bringing games anywhere possible. Even if that means on your refrigerator.  Microsoft will have to support the next Nintendo console since they did sign an agreement to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo Platforms for 10 years.

One character who often gets overlooked is Tails, voiced by actress Colleen O’Shaughnessey. She has expressed interest in starring in a spin-off series centered around her character. In an interview with ComicBook.com, Colleen shares her excitement about the idea of a Tails spin-off series.  “I think you could absolutely do a spin-off with Tails. An origin story for Tails would be amazing, to see where he came from… a little baby Tails. “ More Sonic Spin-Off Series Since Shadow made his debut in Sonic 3 there has been discussion of the possibility for a spin-off series or an entire standalone film. Idris Elba and Keanu Reeves also stated they’d love a Knuckles & Shadow TV Series. Paramount Pictures already confirmed Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will be coming to theaters in March 2027. Doom: The Dark Ages will reportedly launch on Nintendo Switch 2

Doom: The Dark Ages was one of the featured games at the Xbox Developer Direct last week. It had already been known the Doom prequel from id Software will come to Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC. However, it has been questioned whether it will come to the Nintendo Switch 2.  According to well-known leaker, eXtas1s, Doom: The Dark Ages will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. The insider claims that Nintendo is not allowing developers to say “This game is coming to Switch 2” yet.  “The game, which is in full development for the next-generation machine, is being deliberately withheld. Nintendo has not given the green light to all its partners to present their titles, especially those that would be exclusive to the Switch 2.” Many believed since the Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed developers and publishers can start saying their games will be coming to the console. However, it does seem for the bigger AAA games they may want to wait until the Switch 2 Direct in April.  Doom: The Dark Ages is planned to release on May 15, 2025, which could be before the release of the Switch 2. It wouldn’t be surprising to see id Software’s game featured on the console. Since Doom Eternal and Doom (2016) made their way on the current Nintendo Switch. Microsoft and Bethesda have not commented on whether the newest Doom will come to the Nintendo Switch 2. It does seem Phil Spencer is open to bringing any Xbox title to other consoles including Doom, Halo, Starfield, and others.  Will you play Doom: The Dark Ages on the Switch 2? Source: eXtas1s
