More changes have come to 343 Industries as they try to make Halo Infinite the best possible. Chris Lee who was the Director & Studio Head is no longer working on the companies upcoming title. Lee had confirmed this to Bloomberg News on Wednesday, October 28.

This marks the second top director on the project to leave in the past two years. Tim Longo, who was previously a Creative Director at 343i was the other who departed.

Halo Infinite was aimed to launch with the Xbox Series X on November, 10, but it was delayed so they can make it the best possible. COVID-19 has for sure had an impact on the development this year when it came to Infinite as well as many other titles.

Here is what Microsoft had to say on Chris Lee:

“Chris Lee remains a Microsoft employee and while he has stepped back from Halo: Infinite right now, we appreciate all he has done for the project to date”

Microsoft brought in Halo veteran Joe Staten to lead the single-player campaign while Pierre Hintze, to run multiplayer. It is also worthy to note that Staten had a small team to work with on Halo 3: ODST so this is not new territory for Joe Staten.

Halo fans should still have confidence on Halo Infinite’s launch despite the recent personnel changes.

Halo Infinite is expected to launch in 2021.
