Upon recognizing some of the tall-standing releases that hit Xbox One and later on PC is 343 Industries’ Halo: The Master Chief Collection. When arriving back in 2014, the game initially shipped as one of the most anticipated projects to date until learning that plenty of the game was not ready for its retail release. But now six years after the title launched, many reflect on the Halo anthology to be a nice addition to the Xbox platform.
But of course, the game is not being left behind on current-generation hardware. With the amount of effort and replayability in said bundle of titles, it is expected that The Master Chief Collection would migrate over to the Xbox Series X|S. And in a new announcement on Twitter, Microsoft revealed that it will with a batch of next-generation upgrades expected with the game.
Alike with the plenty of cross-generation releases and help from Smart Delivery on Xbox, the title is said to target 4K resolution and 120 frames per second on Xbox Series X. For the leaner Xbox Series S, the hardware is told to at least meet the 120 frames per second margin as the resolution benchmark in unachievable on the system.
Additionally, the firm also disclosed that split-screen has been improved drastically with some aspects refined in contrast to the current version many players are familiar with. However, the post does not go into detail on the matters of that. Xbox Game Pass holders can expect the upgrade to be available alongside those that own the game outside of the subscription service.
Elsewhere recently, 343 Industries squashes the hopes of seeing the addition of Halo 5: Guardians on Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Howbeit, the team does emphasize that cross-play is just on the horizon of arriving to the game. You can read the full report by heading here.
