White Xbox One Elite Controller teased

Microsoft recently released a new HoloLens video showing off some stuff it can do. At 2:50 in the video the guy shows off a White Xbox One Elite Controller which is the same color of the Lunar controller. Obviously Microsoft has yet to say any word on this controller but our guess is that it will be released sometime in 2016. It makes sense for them to make a white version since for the regular ones they have a big variety, the controller will most likely have the same specs. It just adds a variety to choose from. The Elite Controller is known for its features inspired for competitive gaming. Check out our review of the Elite Controller.

First Xbox One Elite Controller accessories announced

We will see the release of the Elite Controller on October 27th and one of the most interesting features of the device is being able to customize it to fit your gaming needs. When Microsoft first announced the Elite Controller, they also stated that there will be 3rd party parts made to allow you to customize it even more.

Last week, Microsoft announced a partnership with Scuf, making Scuf the exclusive 3rd party accessories partner for the controller. Today Microsoft announced that while the Xbox team works with Scuf, PowerA will release a Charging Stand that comes with a 1400mAh battery and battery door this month for $39.99. In early December, PowerA will release a limted run of Halo 5: Guardians Component Kits. The kit includes Halo 5 themed thumbsticks, paddles, and D-Pads and will retail for $29.99.

Look forward to a review of the Elite Controller from the Rectify Gaming team soon! Do you plan on getting an Elite Controller? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

Xbox One Elite controller To Release On October 27th.

We knew that the elite controller would launch this fall but, Amazon has revealed the official release date¬†for the Xbox One Elite controller and it isn’t much of a shock. It will now launch alongside Halo 5 Guardians on October 27th at it’s special price of $149.99.

The controller is Microsoft’s new one aimed at competitive gaming with hairline triggers, paddles on the rear instead of buttons for faster shooting as well as programmable face buttons and interchangeable thumbsticks and D-pad. Plus, if you plan on playing Halo, Gears of War or any other shooter you may want to pick it up anyway to give you that extra edge even if you don’t play competitively.

Will you be getting the Elite Controller?

The Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller Will Be In Short Supply Until March

As we said in a earlier article the Xbox One Elite Controller is in short supply. This is because Microsoft’s sales estimates were incorrect and the $150 controller sold out very quickly.¬†Now according to a Microsoft representative the controllers supply will be limited until March 2016.
‘While the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller is sold out in many retailers around the world, we are working quickly to get more units in the hands of fans. We expect more units to arrive at retailers each week but supply may be limited through March 2016.’
This is very disappointing to a lot of Xbox fans who just want to get Xbox’s new and best quality controller. If you want to buy a new controller you will probably have to weight a few months.

Button remapping coming to all Xbox One controllers, not just the Elite

With the Xbox One controller launching later this month on October 27th along side Halo 5 Guardians, one of the most anticipated features is the button remapping. It will provide all users the ability to change the function of each button to whatever they want to utilize it for. Those who didn’t want to spend the $150 for the Elite, however, or those who just weren’t in the competitive scene still wish to use the feature. Mike Ybarra, Microsoft executive, was aksed on Twitter about the feature coming to all Xbox One controllers similar to the PS4 controllers and there is some good news as it looks like all controllers will have the ability sooner than we think. Are you going to pick up the Elite or wait on the button remapping on the standard controller.
