If there’s one thing Xbox is known for in the past decade, it’s their well-designed controllers. With the Xbox Design Lab you are able to make the Xbox Controller you’ve always wanted without hoping for Microsoft to release it. Although they have the Design Lab, Microsoft does release ordinary controllers and sometimes special editions like the Starfield Xbox Wireless Controller.
We got our hands on the newly released Astral Purple Xbox Wireless Controller that was released on September 19, 2023. It’s safe to say this controller joins the Shock Blue, Pulse Red, and Electric Volt Xbox Controllers as one of the more eye-grabbing controllers that are part of the regular line Microsoft puts out there.
Astral Purple isn’t your ordinary purple as it features more of a dark look on the Xbox Controller featuring a gray D-Pad, black buttons with purple lettering for A, B, X, and Y, with purple analog sticks that are slightly lighter than the controller itself.
The Bumpers and Triggers are black while the back of this controller is all white helping the main color of this controller stand out.
How does the Astral Purple Xbox Controller compare to the Galactic Purple DualSense Controller?
Since we love the color purple here at Rectify Gaming we decided to compare the two purple controllers from Microsoft and Sony. Obviously, the Galactic Purple is slightly different than the Astral, but each controller has its own style.
If you’re a fan of purple there’s no question you should get the Astral Purple Xbox Controller for only $64.99 USD.
