Sony has clearly been looking to create the next big multiplayer game. We saw the attempt with Concord last Summer, but it was quickly shut down after an underwhelming launch. Through a new job listing, it looks like a new live-service multiplayer game is being developed at PlayStation.

It was first spotted on Reddit that this multiplayer game will have esports and competitive elements. One of the features of the job listing is to have “Experience with building across a variety of platforms (PC, Console, Mobile).”

What the job post also reveals is this project will be a live service game because it mentions “Experience leading or directly supporting leadership in an ongoing live service game”.

The job itself is for UX/UI Design Lead but this is the first time we have seen a job listing related to this project. It could very well be that a well-known PlayStation Studio has been working on this game for a while. They do a good job at hiding which Studio this is for as well.

Even after the fumble with Concord, it looks like PlayStation is not giving up. Do you have faith in a new live service game from Sony?
