While it is less prevalent than it was generations back, movie-tied games were certainly a highlight of entries for gaming hardware. Although players now might hold these titles close when sewed in with nostalgic ties, majority of them did not truly push the boundaries to innovate the industry and more so released on a time limit to ship alongside the titular film it is based off of.
However, one major box office success is said to be delivering a new experience for gaming later on. In a recent announcement from Saber Interactive, iLLOGIKA, and EP1T0Me, Paramount Pictures’ horror series A Quiet Place is receiving a survival horror project from the party. Currently, there is no information on the title nor details if leads Emily Blunt, John Krasinski will reprise their roles for the new project.

The game is said to aim for a 2022 release window and more details is to follow next year. In a press release transcribed by Gematsu, there are statements from the firms involved in the project.
“The A Quiet Place video game will let fans experience the tension of the films with a level of immersion they’ve never felt before. We’re excited to work with EP1T0ME and to team up with Saber Interactive to share this unique vision of hope and horror with players everywhere in the future,” said iLLOGIKA creative director Herve Sliwa.
“The amazing success of the A Quiet Place movies makes it clear audiences are hungry for more adventures in this universe, and iLLOGIKA is creating their own truly engaging experience that lives up to the name of this beloved property,” Todd Hollenshead, Saber Interactive head of publishing shares. “We are proud to say that A Quiet Place is the first game we will be releasing by an external studio from the growing Saber publishing label.”
