Another announcement following this year’s Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour finals, a trailer revealing what’s in-store for the forthcoming title set in the Dragon Ball universe has been revealed. Currently with the name ‘Dragon Ball Project Z’, the action RPG will retell the story following Goku since the beginning of the series.

Project Z is a current placeholder title until more is revealed on the upcoming title, including the official name for the game. As of right now, there’s not much to dissect from the trailer that we already know about the franchise, or how the game will be played like previous titles or something new to the traditional formula.

Since the new title will be honing the genre as an action roleplaying game, it will be interesting to see how this will play out when more releases. Best to assume Project Z will have similarities close to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as both share the game category.

Dragon Ball Project Z is said to be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC with a launch aimed for later this year.
