
In a new report recently, the National Football League confirmed to be extending its partnership with publisher Electronic Arts in handling more Madden entries until 2025. Taken from the report, it was told by Sports Business Daily that the EA Sports-developed series to be extended based off of the gained revenue from installments leading to the 2026 season later on.
“Achieving certain revenue goals,” an unnamed source disclosed to Sports Business Daily on the matters. The new agreement is issued to also branch off other releases from Electronic Arts regarding the NFL brand, the report tells. But primarily, the deal being established between both parties will center on the mainline Madden series that have continued running over the span of two decades now.
Howbeit, the news comes following the previous announcement made by publisher 2K alongside the National Football League. The details disclose that after a decade since the last title both collaborated on – the 2K-published series will officially return in the coming years. The report at the time shared that “multiple future titles” are underway following the deal being made.
Elsewhere earlier on in 2019, Major League Baseball announced to be extending its partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment. However, the extended agreement shares that Sony would have to conjure the next slew of entries for other platforms outside of the PlayStation family.
