AMD FSR 3 Finally Rolls Out For Console In Recent Updates On Select Games

The launch of next-generation console promise major improvements to how games are presented. And for the most part these expectation have been met with the new capabilities achievable through the current hardware. Atop of that, software has been improved immensely as well thanks to tools like Unreal Engine 5 and other proprietary engines from developers that realize these new features.

One of the ongoing feats to better the experience for players is AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). With both Xbox & PlayStation being dedicated, custom silicon the hardware can also utilize the implementation to bring drastic improvements to games. Last fall, AMD confirmed that FSR 3 would be arriving and it would be a matter of time until this comes to console.

This past week, it was caught by eagle-eyed fans that FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 is hitting console. The first batch of titles to support FSR 3 includes the likes of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Remnant II, and Robocop: Rogue City. While FSR 3 has been available the past few months, it was only supported on PC until now.
