For a very short time, until 10 AM PST (1 PM EST), Amnesia: The Dark Descent is available for free on Steam. The horror game, released in 2010, has received overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam, a score of 85 on Metacritic, and high marks from many other reviews.
Also included in the midweek sale is Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, the 2013 sequel to The Dark Descent, for $3.99. The sale is part of Frictional Games new release SOMA, “a sci-fi horror game set below the waves of the Atlantic ocean.”
