While developer Respawn Entertainment is pursuing greener pastures with the runoff of Titanfall with Apex Legends these last two years, fans continue to grow worrisome in regards to the future of the franchise. Although set in the same universe, users are sitting patiently for a third entry in the series to arrive. Even after the studio issued a statement denouncing development is underway, hope remains.

To draw even more excitement to waiting fans, known dataminer @biast12 on Twitter shared to hear whispers of Titanfall 3 to already commence development. The leaker alongside other recognized insiders familiar with Respawn internally suggest to hear corresponding echoes on the matter previously.

But although the game is still nowhere to be seen, yet, Respawn Entertainment is using that energy in Apex Legends. Upon speaking  with BrownGirlGamerCode, the studio elaborates that the coming Season 9 will really quench the thirst of lingering Titanfall fans.

Next season, Season 9, you’re actually going to see a ton of Titanfall coming back into the game one way or another. So, I have told some people before – if you’re a Titanfall fan, then hang on for Season 9 cause you’re going to see some cool stuff in there.

There’s been some good things, y’know we brought in Ash through one questline, Blisk is part of the game: he’s heavily prominently in Titanfall. […] Season 9 – there’s a lot of Titanfall in it.

Chad Grenier, Apex Legends Game Director

To grasp what could be entailed by the tease from director Grenier and his statement is already apparent from a previous report. In a recent leak from @biast12, the dataminer issued footage of a build for Apex Legends that features Blisk as a playable Legend. Most recognized, however, is that Blisk is capable to call in a Titan that acts as an auto-turret and scan for nearby adversaries.

Additionally, Respawn Entertainment Senior Writer Sarah Reed had this to add to the discussion. “What’s going on in Titanfall is a war. So it’s very much a war story. Apex is what happens after the war – what is life like in this place and so we’re trying to integrate Titanfall into that and that’s very much because – Titanfall is part of that shared universe; what is a piece of something very much bigger.

“So we’re looking at […] what Titanfall means to this universe, how have the events of Titanfall changed this universe and the people in it. So it has lasting impacts that are going to become bigger and bigger and reverberate out.” Looking that the previous franchise influences so much only suggest the tap of content is far from running out for Apex Legends.

As for addition welcomings to Apex Legends, @biast2 once again features footage for what is to be the ‘Apex Arena’. Understood from the appearance in the video looks to be Respawn Entertainment’s grasp to push the battle royale to be more than the singular game mode; perhaps even online matchmaking.
