The announcement of Apple Arcade earlier this year left many users questioning how the company will proceed with its own iteration of a video game service through Apple’s storefront and if the tech giant will be able to meet expectations with exciting titles alongside new exclusive projects for the upcoming platform. This week, Apple announced that the subscription will be coming as soon as next week.

What makes Apple Arcade different from how you currently play games on Apple device is that the service allows players to enjoy the entire lineup of available games ad-free with no additional purchases necessary following the flat $4.99 monthly fee.

We think customers of all ages are going to be delighted that a single subscription gives the whole family unlimited access to the full catalog of amazing Apple Arcade games, all without any ads or additional purchases, while knowing every game must meet Apple’s high privacy standards.

Additional perks that Apple owners will be able to indulge in with Apple Arcade is that when the service launches next week, a free one-month trial will be gifted for users to sample if interested in paying for the months following. The subscription will also offer the ability to play all available games offline and can be shared between six different accounts on through Family Sharing.

Apple has also confirmed that players accustomed to current popular gamepad will be supported like the Xbox Wireless Controller, PlayStation Dualshock 4, and other Bluetooth controllers. For the full lineup of games, you can head here to see all games that will be available at launch. The company also shared that the service will reach the promised 100+ games for Apple Arcade throughout the course of this Fall.

Apple Arcade will be available for iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and macOS.
