When exploring realms of virtual reality, developer ARVORE Interactive has remained an innovator on breaking traditional gameplay formula when it comes to its Pixel Ripped series. Originally shipping Pixel Ripped 1989 delves into the realm of retro platforming as a 2nd grade student at school, reality breaks as the game leaks into the real world.
Additionally, AVORE Interactive continued this series came Pixel Ripped 1995 later on in 2020. The sequel stood out as the new installment features multiple genres including retro racers, role-playing games, and 32-bit graphics as well. In all likelihood, ARVORE Interactive likely isn’t finished with the series just yet.
Over a week ago, the developer announced Pixel Ripped 1978 as Atari poses as a publisher. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:
“Pixel Ripped 1978 is the newest game in the Pixel Ripped series. In it, our hero Dot has to once again fight against the evil Cyblin Lord, who has a very complex plan: to hack into the game creator’s past and to make himself the protagonist!” the synopsis on the website reads. “But Dot isn’t alone in this crazy endeavor through time – she has the help of Bug, Pixel Ripped’s creator herself, as they join forces to dispel Cyblin Lord and launch the game on time.”
Recently, Atari also played a large role in the acquisition of a new developer being added to its side. In that, Night Dive Studios revealed its purchase last month for the Washington-based team ahead of the soon release for System Shock Remake. You can read the full report by heading here.
