When exploring what avenues Ubisoft has planned next for the Assassin’s Creed series, Baghdad is the next setting for the mainline series. Back in September, the publisher celebrating the 15th anniversary of the franchise unveiled a prequel to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was in the works to follow character Basim. Even more, the new entry will follow closely to the social stealth rules of the original installments as a full circle installment.
Recently Ubisoft shared new efforts to increase its talent for Assassin’s Creed as its pull so far this generation has been off to a weak start. And with more on the way, it was expected that the upcoming Ubisoft Forward would illustrate its game plan for Assassin’s Creed and more. That includes an official release date for the 2023-aimed Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
Well, Ubisoft at the recent PlayStation Showcase shared a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Mirage and that includes the launch date for the game coming this October. You can watch the gameplay trailer in the video below:
“In this gameplay trailer, you will continue to follow the journey of Basim, one of the most versatile and resourceful Assassins in franchise history. Some new features that can be seen in the gameplay trailer are the Assassin’s Focus, which allows Basim to mark and assassinate several targets in a row. You also will get classic Assassin tools such as throwing knives and smoke bombs,” associate director Maïté Hayet writes.
“We also have a brand-new parkour ingredient, the Pole Vault. You can see Basim’s singular playstyle in action and the exciting Assassin playground that the city of Baghdad provides to our hero. Staying true to his Hidden Ones training, Basim generally favors quiet movements and a discreet approach to hunt and strike his targets. As part of its Blackbox missions, the game provides various opportunities for Basim to leverage and help him make his way to his targets.”
