Under the ongoing reign that is Assassin’s Creed, the direction the series is heading is left in multiple paths. While Assassin’s Creed Valhalla shipped in 2020, the game continues with a new add-on this March – Dawn of Ragnarök. Additionally, plans for a virtual reality game on Oculus devices is also in the works as well since the announcement back in September 2020.
Elsewhere, Ubisoft is also teaming up with Netflix to work on a live-action show for the IP. After real-time shorts and a full-length theatrical release, Ubisoft has decided to advance to the streaming service with one of its most iconic franchises. More recently a new report emerged revealing that Die Hard Screenwriter Jeb Stuart is involved with the production.
This week, Ubisoft announced on Tuesday that the Ezio Auditore lineage is coming to Nintendo Switch next month with Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:
“Assassin’s Creed II is where we are first introduced to Ezio as a new Assassin carrying on the deadly lineage of his forebears through the dangerous world of Renaissance Italy. Scale buildings and stalk your prey through cities filled with riches, and unravel a murderous conspiracy while wielding weapons and instruments designed by Leonardo da Vinci.
Ubisoft continues, “In Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, Ezio brings the fight to the heart of the powerful Templar Order in Rome, a center of power, greed, and corruption. As a Master Assassin, you must build and command a new Assassin Order to rally at your side and help defeat your enemies.
“In Assassin’s Creed Revelations, Ezio leaves his life in Italy behind to go on a journey of discovery. As Ezio, you must walk in the footsteps of your predecessor, Altaïr, on a perilous path that takes you to Constantinople, the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing army of Templars threatens to destabilize the region.”
