Assuming that many are already aware, the tragedy that took place this past Monday in France as many witnessed the blaze that consumed the Notre Dame Cathedral in the nation’s capital is still mind boggling days following the incident in Paris. Since then, numerous donations have made their way towards repairing the centuries old landmark , one including from publisher Ubisoft.
The company in mourning for one of France’s most notable monuments has announced that the Ubisoft will be taking part in the cause by donating €500,000 to the Notre Dame. Also recognizing that there are a plenty of people who have yet to and will never fully experience the Cathedral in Paris, the publisher also listed Assassin’s Creed: Unity for free so those who haven’t experienced the Notre Dame can do so in their recreation of it during the French Revolution.
Earlier this week, it was also detailed that despite the immeasurable amount of damage that the Notre Dame Cathedral obtained from the unsuspected fire, assets from Ubisoft Montreal’s title could assist in the reconstruction of the landmark.
Players will have until next week, April 25th, to download the 2014 action-adventure title through Ubisoft’s storefront Uplay.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity is available now for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.
