Sony held a State of Play presentation which gave updates and announcements on games coming to PlayStation 5, PS VR 2, and PC. To conclude the show a new Astro Bot game was announced featuring the new desert environment and more.

Astro Bot will come to PlayStation 5 on September 6, 2024, with pre-orders starting June 7, 2024.
The announcement trailer is just over 3 minutes long showing what the game will feature and will have plenty of similarities to Astro’s Playroom. Astro Bot will have plenty of references to iconic PlayStation games like PaRappa the Rapper.
It will feature 6 galaxies spanning over 80 levels in search of Astro’s scattered crew and unique planets from lush forests, sandy beaches, and hot volcanoes to even more locations that will surprise players. There will also be over 15 new abilities taking full advantage of the DualSense controller once again.
Over 70 new enemy types will be featured in Astro Bot and there will be a ton of cameos with hint they’ll play a bigger role.

Astro’s Playroom became a fan-favorite video game from the moment PlayStation 5 launched as it came with the game. Astro Bot will be developed by Team Asobi which is now an official PlayStation Studio.
