Various meetups will occur and allegedly allow players to race through various areas of the map. No further information about the game is currently available, but we do know it will be released on current generation Series S\X and PS5 exclusively along with PC. Far Cry 6 Leak Reveals Game of the Year Edition, New Expansion

far cry 6

A new leak has revealed what appears to be a new Game of the Year edition for Far Cry 6, as well as a new, unannounced expansion. So far, the only DLC as far as gameplay content is concerned has been the three expansions as part of the season pass. Those are the Vaas, Pagan Min and Joseph Seed from Far Cry 3, 4 and 5 respectively. There was also the Stranger Things DLC venturing us into the upside down. A popular Twitter account has revealed the image showing the new expansion, and provides a name of “Lost Between Worlds“. No other info was provided, but there is a huge clue there if you’ve played the DLC. The Vaas DLC shows us attempt to save the character and “exit” wherever he is at the conclusion of an endless amount of enemy waves. The Lost Between Worlds could be a further expansion of this Vaas story line, but it also may not. Ubisoft has not made any inferences or commented at all regarding said expansion. We’ll have to see what announcements, if any, are made. We’ve reached out to Ubisoft for comment.

A Plague Tale: Requiem New Story Trailer Released

Asobo Studios have released a new story trailer for A Plague Tale: Requiem today ahead of its launch next month. Amicia and Hugo have a lot ahead of them on their journey to end the plague and the curse embedded in the young de Rune’s blood stream. As Amicia and Hugo set out to find a mysterious island in the hope of ending the curse which runs through Hugo’s blood, they find themselves having to rely on the help of the people they meet. Walking into foreign territory, the young de Runes are unlikely to make it alone… but how much trust can they place in strangers? The answer seems as uncertain as the island is beautiful and terrifying. We are treated to a mix of new gameplay and cinematic scenes in the trailer, showcasing just how beautiful the game is going to be. Flowing grass blowing gracefully in the wind, the sun light glistening off buildings in reflections as well as the emotional turbulence on the characters’ faces all show the impact the story will have. A Plague Tale: Requiem releases October 18 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation5, PC and in Cloud Version on Nintendo Switch. Xbox players will be treated to the game day one on Game Pass as well. Take a look at the trailer below, and stay tuned for our coverage on release.

Asterigos: Curse of the Stars New Devlog Highlights Enemy and Combat Variety

With Asterigos: Curse of the Stars set to launch next month, a new developer log has been released to highlight the variety of enemies and combat in the game. Whether it is in the city streets or in the Depths below, Hilda will be tasked with defeating a number of enemies with a vast repertoire of attacks. In Asterigos, Hilda will be able to wield six different weapons. Those are sword and shield, staff, spear, daggers, hammer and enchanted bracelets. Each weapon has its own ability along with enemy type it is most effective against. In addition, you’ll be able to swap weapons on the fly during combat, allowing for many variations of attacks and combos. The devlog goes into a how the studio used both Roman and Greek mythology to influence the game’s story and enemies. As we noted in our hands on preview of the demo, this only adds to the immersion that player choice adds to the story. You can check out the full devlog here. Asterigos: Curse of the Stars launches October 11, 2022, on PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Stay tuned for both our streams and review of the game on release.

Multiversus Now Requires Double the XP to Level Up, Rick Sanchez Added and Other Changes

The update dropping Rick Sanchez into Multiversus is going live later today, but that isn’t the only change coming to the free to play brawler. The developer has announced they believed it was too easy leveling up, and has now doubled the required amount of XP needed to get from level 3 to 15 on the mastery track. In addition, Wonder Woman is no longer the free player added after the tutorial. That honor has now instead passed to Shaggy. Wonder Woman will still be available for purchased from the store. Arya has been nerfed, Gizmo gets a speed boost and more. The full list of patch notes is fairly substantial, and can all be found below. Let us know what you think of these changes and how the double XP necessary is going to impact you. General Rick Sanchez joins MultiVersus! Rick is a new Mage character joining the roster. The XP required to go from level 3 – 15 on the character mastery track has been doubled We were finding that players could get to level 15 of the mastery track too quickly. This is to help us make it a bit more of a journey. Loading performance improvements for PS4 and Xbox One. Initial free character from completing the intro tutorial has been switched to Shaggy from Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman can now be purchased for Gold or Gleamium. Attack decay steps have been added to the intro tutorial. Fixed an issue in Coop-Versus-AI that was causing only Wonder Woman and Reindog bots to appear. Fixed a bug where some players weren’t able to equip profile icons. Fixed a bug where the game would occasionally freeze at the end-of-game screen. Cosmetics Reindog Skin: Chef Reindog is now available! Reindog Skin: Golden Reindog is now available! ONLY purchasable with gold! Steven Universe Skin: Tiger Millionaire is now available! Twitch Extension Minor visual bug fixes Added ‘Fighter Voting’ which allows broadcasters to poll their audience on which fighter to play, viewers who have MultiVersus get bonus votes. Added the ability for viewers who have MultiVersus to claim free toasts from Twitch channels running the extension. Gameplay Systems Anti-Infinite Combo System We’ve implemented a new anti-infinite-combo system that will decay all subsequent attacks if the same attack has been used 4 or more times in the same true combo. The goal is to put a global soft-cap on infinite combos and make combos more creative. We hope the change pushes players to explore new and more exciting combo routes. We were considering the max number of the same attack being used to be 3, but we wanted to more slowly evaluate the change. We’re going to be evaluating the change and are open to feedback on how we can improve the system! The option to choose between 4 direction or 8 direction for the right-stick control (c-stick) has been added to the settings menu. Projectile Systems We are continuing the projectile systems update in this patch. The most notable addition is the inclusion of a new “Light Projectile” classification for projectiles that deal no knockback. The only Light Projectiles in the game for now are Rick’s uncharged blaster and the pies fired by the Neptr assist item. Character Updates Legend Nerf Buff Change Bug Arya Bug Fix Fixed issues where Arya could deal much more damage than intended. Bug Fix: Neutral Special: Fixed issues that were causing hit boxes on stolen attacks to not hit reliably. We are still looking at updates to Arya’s up special, but could use more time to make it right. Expect an update in the near future. Bugs Bunny Down Air Attack Hitbox is slightly smaller to better match the visuals Finn Bug Fix Side Air Attack Can no longer ignore air special limits when branching into the attack. Air Down Attack Instant cancel on hit removed. Ground Side Attack Instant jump cancel on hit removed. Garnet Ground Down Attack Garnet now retains some of her velocity moving into the attack. Wild Hearts Revealed as EA & Koei Tecmo Collaboration, Trailer to be Released Tomorrow

This mystery game was initially revealed as part of the EA Originals program, with EA announcing they partnered with Koei Tecmo on the project for “the next great hunting game”. Omega Force, the Koei studio actually handling the project, is the one responsible for Dynasty Warriors and that entire series. The game is called Wild Hearts. The trailer can be found on the game’s official page (embedded below), but it will not be live until 10 AM EST tomorrow, September 28, 2022. E3 2023 Dates Revealed With a New Twist on Exhibitions

E3 2023 is set to return to Los Angeles this year in person with a new twist on how exhibitions will be set up. The event will take place from Tuesday, June 13 through Friday, June 16. For the first time, the expo will have separate days and gathering locations for industry personnel and consumers. E3 Business Days will take place Tuesday, June 13 to Thursday, June 15, reserved exclusively for registered industry personnel to network in-person, hold professional meetings, and connect with licensors and distributors. Amidst dedicated, industry-only halls and spaces, media can go hands-on with upcoming games showcased by developers and publishers from around the world. E3 Gamer Days will take place Thursday, June 15 and Friday, June 16 in a different hall than the industry area, inviting consumers to go hands-on with the future of gaming and connect with developers, content creators, media personalities, and more. A dedicated theater of content, open to ticket holders, will run during these days and offer deep-dive looks at highly anticipated titles. E3 is being operated by ReedPop this year, the group behind events such as PAX, EGX, New York Comic-Con, Star Wars Celebration, and more. “E3 is one of the global gaming industry’s few opportunities to come together, unite as one loud voice, and show the world what it is creating,” said ReedPop VP of Gaming Kyle Marsden-Kish. “Our vision is to reunite the industry by re-establishing the traditional E3 week, bring back that spark, and restore E3’s role as a truly magical global showcase event for game creators and consumers.” Registration for media will open this December, and more information of course will be released through the event’s social media channels as we get closer. Super Mario Bros Trailer Release Date Revealed

supermario

Nintendo and Illumination have announced that the teaser trailer for the upcoming Super Mario Bros film will be released live at New York City Comic Con next month. The trailer will be shown on Friday, October 6th at 4 PM EST. There has been much back and forth about the film, including grimaces over the chosen actors and rumors that the film was initially delayed after a terrible screening. While Charles Martinet (Mario’s original voice) will be in the film as mystery characters, he will not be voicing Mario. That will be Chris Pratt. The entire list of actors are as follows: Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach Charlie Day as Luigi Jack Black as Bowser Keegan-Michael Key as Toad Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike This is going to be make or break time for the film. You can always re-work an animated character like Sonic. Voices are different. If Pratt doesn’t absolutely nail Mario’s voice, the film may be DOA before release. Gamers are VERY protective of their franchises, and none is more iconic than Mario. Best of luck to Mr. Pratt

Psychedelic Survival Horror Saturnalia Set to Release Next Month

Santa Ragione announced that its upcoming survival horror Saturnalia will be releasing this October. Taking place in Sardinia, Italy around 1989, the story involves a mysterious, centuries-old ritual that occurs every year on the night of the winter solstice in the Italian village of Gravoi. Set in third-person, Saturnalia embraces a more refreshing rogue-like setup than the typical first-person view for the horror genre. We will be tasked with controlling four different characters. Each of them, of course, has their own abilities that will allow us to solve the mystery surrounding the town and eventually escaping – preferably unharmed. There is no mini-map, compass or markers of any kind in Saturnalia. The ability to navigate will be relegated to the use of matches to light our way. Hunted by an unknown creature, we can not fight. Our only options will be running or hiding, and the ending we receive upon completing the game will be based on the choices we’ve made with our characters. Getting all four of your characters captured by the creature won’t reset your progress, but it will procedurally generate a new layout of the city. In a game with no markers, you are essentially starting all over. Saturnalia is releasing on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch on October 27th and is bringing a new twist to the survival horror genre. Stay tuned for our review upon release as well as our Twitch page for the streams. Gameplay trailer below
