Back 4 Blood Players Discover Achievements, Trophies, Progression Locked For Solo Players

Although anticipation for a new Left 4 Dead game was truly lost knowing the pattern that Valve follows for its IPs, excitement was resurrected when developer Turtle Rock Studios announced to be returning to the genre for a new series, Back 4 Blood. Last December, it was revealed that the game would be coming later in 2021 and cross-play for the game will be primed for the new influx of players.

However, the game was pushed to October later on in a update from the game studio. Despite that, the team went on to deliver an open beta for the game for players to sample just what is available for the game come the full release. Even more, Microsoft went on to announce that the new project is to also launch day one for Xbox Game Pass this month as well.

Currently, Ultimate Edition owners of the game have 4-day early access to Back 4 Blood. However, with the limited number of players online, it is revealed that solo queuing for games with bots blocks progression for the game. From Redditor u/QU4NTUM_FLUX, a pop-up opens revealing the message which encourages users to match with players via online.

“Solo Campaign – Uses solo decks created in the Fort Hope menu,” the disclaimer tells. “Maps and objectives will be adjusted. Matchmaking and player invites will be disabled. Earning supply points are disabled. Stat tracking is disabled. Earning progress towards Accomplishments is disabled.”

Altogether, the game to make a dent into its expansive customization feature or to track how you play can only be logged through completing online matches. While the type of game that Back 4 Blood is can be enjoyed more with real players, not all users have the opportunity to do so and penalizes the minority that prefer to play with bots.

That is not the only disappointment discovered for Back 4 Blood. In that, Turtle Rock Studios previously confirmed that Versus mode from its spiritual predecessor is not receiving an adaptation for the new release. You can read the full report by heading here.
