The folks over at Psyonix have announced on the PlayStation blog that Rocket League is getting the Back to the Future car pack featuring the heralded Delorean from the film.
Fully equipped with the gull wing doors and “outtatime” license plate, the Delorean will be making its debut on October 21st, 2015. Of course, you will remember that is also the date inputted on the flux capacitor in the films as well. Jeremy Dunham, the VP of marketing at Psyonix, stated that
“Truth be told, we used to fantasize and joke about having the DeLorean Time Machine in our game months before it even came out. We were all such huge Back to the Future fans here at Psyonix, that it was one of the few ‘Holy Grails’ we had hoped for besides having a hit game. The fact that we’re getting both of those ‘best-case scenarios’ in the same year is an amazing accomplishment for us, they’re things we’ll never forget!”
All we know is that the Delorean is included but no other details are included on if there are any other vehicles to be used. Who knows, maybe we’ll get the train from Back to the Future 3 as well! The pack will cost you $1.99
