Just last month. Japanese publisher announced Bandai Namco revealed that One Punch Man will be receiving his own respected title sometime in 2020 which will feature a catalogue of characters from the first and second season of the ongoing anime. Now the publisher is back less than two weeks from that announcement to reveal that One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is also on the way with a release date aimed sometime in the coming year.
You can watch the reveal trailer below:
The previous game in the series received its last installment back in 2015, which will give Omega Force nearly five years to work on the title by the time the fourth iteration is ready to launch. Reflecting on the 2015 title, it seems that the game will also stretch to the Xbox platform this time around as One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 was only available on PC, PlayStation 3 & 4, PlayStation Vita, and Switch which is coming later this September.
As for what the 2020 game will offer in contrast to the current title, Bandai Namco has yet to share what is truly new besides what was shown from the trailer. Which seems to pit Big Mom as the main antagonist as Luffy rushes for her in the short announcement video.
Are you excited for another title for the Pirate Warriors series?
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is slated with a 2020 release timeframe for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
