Farm 51 first announced their new FPS Get Even back in January of 2014 and it immediately caught the eyes of many with its new take on the shooter genre. In Get Even, players embark on missions captured by real world 3D imaging so everything you see appears as if it’s a live action sequence. The only thing is they are not live action sequences. As Farm 51 seeks to blur the lines between reality and games, all the choices you make determine how your character progresses.
The game’s plot revolves around the memories of its central heroes which have a dramatic effect on how the game progresses. The route the player chooses to follow determines their personality as the game unfolds. The carefully crafted storyline mixes elements of thriller and horror with exploration. What makes Get Even special is that once you begin a single player mission the lines between that and multiplayer intersect. At any given time, a fellow player can join your game as an enemy, therefore you will never know whether your attacker is human or cpu.
Today the studio announced a publishing deal with Bandai Namco which will oversee its distribution upon release next year on PS4, Xbox One and PC. “We are very proud to be collaborating with The Farm 51 on this promising title” said Herve Hoerdt, Vice President of IP Strategy, Digital, Marketing & PR at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe. ”Get Even will definitely be one of BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment’s key titles in the upcoming year; with its movie-like approach and its mature and intimate story, all players should keep an eye on this game!”
Get Even is set for release next year, 2016, on PS4, Xbox One and PC
