At today’s Microsoft press conference, Bandai Namco took the stage to officially reveal the previously leaked Tales of title and announced that the upcoming title will be releasing sometime next year in 2020.
The story follows two different protagonists from two separate worlds who in search for a change in their future eventually meet one another. The title is said to feature new combat mechanics while keeping true to the series’ known format.
Tales of Arise will be coming to Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.

It looks that the snow ball effect has hit Bandai Namco as yet another title from the publisher has been revealed prior to the game’s proper announcement, this time detailing a new Tale of game, titled Tales of Arise. Similar to the previous leak revolving around the FromSoftware title involving author George R. R. Martin, users on 4Chan discovered images on the title through digging around on the Bandai Namco website.
From the two screenshots that were found, one reveals an armor suited character as they look over a village in the distance whilst the second image presents some of the game’s combat with the same character fighting off a large boar with a sword. The same anonymous user who posted the images also shared that the title “Tales of Arise”, were found from the two images: listings for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC when were also found.
One thing that ticked off some users when the images first surfaced on the board were the more detailed graphics presented for the title. Looking at previous games like Tales of Vespiria, the engine used projected simpler and softer-looking graphics compared to what was shown in the two pictures. But fans shortly after came to conclusion that this could be the next installment as the boar holds a resemblance to one of the 2008 title.
As for when fans could expect to see the game officially out in the open, it is best to look to tomorrow’s Microsoft press conference which will be held on June 9th at 1 PM PST / 4 PM EST.
