Ongoing developments is a current trend at Xbox Game Studios with a slew of new games for the platform that has yet to grace the vacant platform. Whilst third-party games keep players occupied, many fans are eager to see more from the internal teams. The Xbox firm did illustrate that with updates on Fable, Avowed, and of course, Starfield during the Xbox Games Showcase this past weekend.

Additionally, Microsoft did go a step further following-up on previously reported projects as well. From Compulsion games, Project Midnight was then revealed to being ‘South of Midnight’ at the sunday show. Even more, another project codenamed ‘Cobalt’ was also unveiled to being InXile Entertainment’s Clockwork Revolution during the same presentation.

On the same topic, another codenamed project was also introduced during the showcase. That being Towerborne. Originally reported to being ‘Project Belfry’, the game was said to be a collaboration between Xbox Game Studios & Banner Saga team, Stoic. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:

“Towerborne is the newest game from Stoic, creators of the award-winning Banner Saga series. Packed with fun combat, customization options, and lore to be uncovered, Towerborne has something for everyone. You’ll find yourself in the ruins of the City of Numbers, with a lone tower keeping survivors safe from a looming evil.”

The synopsis for Toweborne continues, “You play as an Ace, a hero destined to bring hope to humanity in a time of darkness. Multiplayer supports up to four players at a time, so join your friends or set off on your journey solo. Either way, Towerborne is made with player choice in mind.”
