In the long-term for Xbox Game Pass, many of the titles that arrive to the service happened to be pressed upon in a greater announcement over on Xbox Wire. However, Microsoft in recent months expands on featured releases for new titles on the service with the property launching alongside its addition to the growing library. This month, we already saw this with Surgeon Simulator 2: Access All Areas before.
Looking further ahead, Microsoft has collaborated with other entities to feature new projects on the way for Xbox Game Pass when it ships respectively. Previously, its /Twitchgaming & ID@Xbox Showcase unveiled a lineup of independent games coming to the service leaning into 2022. Additionally, the same can also be said for a separate collaboration with Humble Bundle which was revealed at Gamescom in late August.
This week, Microsoft carries on this tradition with a new announcement in which will launch for Xbox Game Pass later in October. In that, Dovetail Games’ Bassmaster Fishing 2022 is to arrive to Xbox Game Pass on day one. You can watch the new gameplay trailer in the video below:
“The game hosts a full complement of exciting new features, game modes, and mechanics. Large multiplayer lobbies, cross-play, Bassmaster Royale, a fully licensed career mode, and lots more, is ready for you to tackle (and bring out those tackle boxes for),” Thomas Clarke, Dovetail Games Junior Brand Manager explains in the post.
Most notably about this release from Dovetail Games is the new Bassmaster Royale mode that will ship for the game. With multiplayer already a large component outside of the single player experience, Bassmaster Royale turns on all burners as players can fish against others in a new cross-play matchmaking system. Of course, the new mode runs until only one person remains.
Elsewhere previously, Microsoft alongside Sports Interactive announced to be featuring Football Manager 2022 for Xbox Game Pass later in November. The announcement was made ahead of the game’s proper reveal at the time. You can read the full report by heading here.
