The Behemoth held its first-ever company roadmap through a livestream on Friday, July 26, and it revealed updates on popular series from the developer. It was announced that Castle Crashers will be getting its first DLC in 12 years. It was also announced that BattleBlock Theater will be getting a quality-of-life update on PC via Steam.

BattleBlock Theater will be getting enhanced rendering, updated frame rates, and a lot more.

Below are the key features of what BattleBlock Theater will be receiving soon:

  • Enhanced rendering – no more crunchy compression and much higher resolution!
  • Lightning fast frame rates, limited only by your monitor’s capability!
  • Higher audio bitrates for delicious sound.
  • Various bug fixes and overall enhancements!
  • Support for more controller types.

The Behemoth also announced they are planning to release BattleBlock Theater on modern consoles likely meaning Nintendo Switch Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The game was released in 2013 for Xbox 360, Windows PC, Mac, and Linux. It would be the first for the game to be released on a PlayStation console.
