If there was a disappointing game of this generation you’d have to put Battlefield 2042 near the top of the list. Since its release on October 6, 2021, the game wasn’t well received from players around the globe and the player count has been a roller coaster. There have been times when Battlefield 2042 would nearly hit 5,000 players in a day on Steam.
According to Steam Charts, Battlefield 2042 hit a new all-time peak and it’s at 101,362 players online in 24 hours. The last time 100,000 players jumped on this game on Steam was in November 2021 almost two years ago.
What could have brought this amount of players was the recent update that brought a new CQC map, new weapons, gadgets, and other new content on October 10, 2023.
In our review of Battlefield 2042, we gave the game an 8.5 out of 10.
