In the recent week, Bayonetta 3 continues to surface as little information has still yet to be injected into its massive following. Nearly three years since the game’s release, it was this month that game director Hideki Kamiya told it isn’t his call to reveal more. But, that is already understood knowing Nintendo is funding the project and essentially calling the shots. Regardless, Kamiya is certain patient fans will like what they see when that comes.

Previously, Kamiya told that the project is taking a new direction foreign to the past two installments which does explain for more time to work on the IP since its unveiling. On Thursday though, suspicion grew following Nintendo unintentionally leaking the release window for the game. In that, Bayonetta 3 alongside unannounced Kirby: Discovery was revealed for launch next year.

During the latest Nintendo Direct on Thursday, the livestream closed with the first taste of gameplay for Bayonetta 3. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“You’ve waited long enough. The witch. Is. BACK!,” the trailer’s description reads. “A new-look Bayonetta returns to battle foes with her signature Witch Time! This time, she’ll wield her new Demon Masquerade ability to channel the power of demons and engage in larger-than-life action.”

While little is still said about Bayonetta 3, at least there is an understanding in the direction the sequel is heading. Howbeit, it is for certain that fans are still hungry for more than just the sample handled by PlatinumGames. With 2022 just around the corner, we are sure to hear more about it in due time, of course.
