Bethesda is holding an E3 conference for the first time EVER

bethesda-e3

Game announcements usually fall in a conference of some sorts, such as the surprise announcement of Metal Gear Rising at E3 2009 with Don Mattrick and Hideo Kojima coming on to unveil the game, or Destiny at the PlayStation conferences.

As well as this, EA & Ubisoft have held conferences every year at E3 & Gamescom (and some other conventions) but Bethesda have never been to E3 before.. until now. It seems like Bethesda are gearing up to announce something big, because 2015 will be the first time ever in which they will hold a E3 conference.

Bethesda are renowned for their games in the Elder Scrolls franchise and Fallout franchise. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has one of the highest overall critic scores on Metacritic, and is one of the top 20 best selling games.

As well as making some incredible games, Bethesda are also a very successful publisher – in 2014 they published the first person Nazi-killing shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order, and also published the stealth game on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Dishonored. And we can’t forget Doom – one of the most popular gaming franchises out there.

All we know right now, is that Bethesda have got something huge to say. Whether it’s Arkane Studios’ next instalment in the Dishonored franchise – something to show about Doom 4 which has been in the works for a while now (if you pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order, you receive access to the Doom 4 beta when it launches) or showing off some The Elder Scrolls: Online HORSE ARMOUR DLC (we’re just kidding, Bethesda, please don’t make us pay for horse armour again.)

We also can’t write an article about Bethesda doing big announcements without mentioning two words: Fallout 4. It’s what everyone wants, Bethesda. Let it be so.

You can tune in on June 14th to see what Bethesda has to offer at twitch.tv/Bethesda.. and bring the excitement.
