Bethesda Reveals Official QuakeCon 2021 Date Planned For August 19 – August 21

While the previous Xbox-Bethesda E3 Showcase left players hungry for more reveals, the next livestreamed presentation is not too far off. In fact, the firm previously that it will be holding its annual QuakeCon event online prior to the June showcase that already took place last month. But, there was little to understand on when the show will take place or what it will offer at the initial time of announcement.

In a new blog post published by Bethesda, the show is now scheduled to take place in the third week of August and to feature news on planned releases without mentioning which properties are receiving the spotlight next month. “The QuakeCon community will once again come together online to play and celebrate their favorite games while raising money to do some good in the world.

“QuakeCon will include livestreams featuring updates on existing and upcoming games, tournaments, charity fundraising, puppies (of course), giveaways, and more. We’re also bringing back the Virtual BYOC via Twitch Teams to help bring the QuakeCon faithful together through games once again!”

Recently, developer Tango Gameworks broke the unfortunate news that GhostWire: Tokyo will not be shipping this year. Now, the game is aimed for a early 2022 release window. Atop of that, the game is likely now to not arrive to Xbox until early 2023 thanks to the pushed release timeframe. Already, Microsoft confirmed to honor exclusive releases between Bethesda & Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Regarding what is not likely to show its face is The Elder Scrolls VI. Although the game was announced back in 2018, the project is still in the early phase of development still, Todd Howard explains. “It’s good to think of The Elder Scrolls 6 as still being in a design [phase]…,” he stated at the time.

What many are probably hoping to get more details on at the show is the previously teased Redfall. While only a cinematic trailer presented at the time, fans of Arkane Studios are likely to anticipate for new information on the project since its scheduled to ship in 2022.
