While most of the attention directed at developer BioWare is casted by the February 2019 release for Anthem: a sci-fi, open-world where players are given robotic suits and fight against the rough of its unique universe. Taken that the project was coming from the team behind Mass Effect, it was expected that game to be a knock out of the park; especially following the upset that was Mass Effect: Andromeda previously.
Unfortunately, fans did not find the rebound for the developer as Anthem arrived as a problem to add to BioWare’s releases for this generation. Even now, the title is still plagued with issues that have yet to be resolved properly, Thankfully, the team shared that a new update dubbed ‘Anthem Next’ would ship later on to squish the lingering bugs and reiterate on the current structure for the title.
But despite what the last two titles had to offer this console generation, BioWare did ship what looks to be a landmark release for current systems with Dragon Age: Inquisition. The game receiving nearly perfect scores for its sheer brilliance is just one way to put the 2015-release title. And the universe is told to continue to develop as there is a new project currently underway.
While a proper title was not provided, BioWare did tease what is essentially presumed to be Dragon Age 4 back in 2018 during the Game Awards. And while the team has not expanded much on the project since then, BioWare Executive Producer Mike Darrah disclosed on Twitter that the project is still in the works despite the difficulties of working from home.
Taken that there still is not much to expand on the project, even after the statement Darrah shared recently, players are still left empty-handed for the time being. During the initial teaser for the title, BioWare did reveal that this new entry will center around the rise of “The Dreaded Wolf.” Fans of the series can take that information to better uncover what the newest installment will hold later on.
Also provided that BioWare is currently working simultaneously on the revamp for Anthem, this could insinuate that the team’s efforts for both projects could be prolonged a bit. That on top of the current pandemic still in effect – fans of BioWare can expect a longer wait until more details on coming projects are officially shared.
Do you plan on getting this new Dragon Age game?
