Over the past few years, Chinese-based projects have continued to become more prevalent upon the global gaming industry. One of the most highly-anticipated projects happens to be Black Myth: Wukong. From developer Heishenhua, the game embraces plenty of what makes Souls-like games and elaborates upon it in a larger scale.
Recently at The Game Awards, Game Science Interactive & Heishenhua announced Black Myth: Wukong is finally coming to PC & consoles later this summer in August 2024. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:
“Black Myth: Wukong is an action RPG rooted in Chinese mythology. You shall set out as the Destined One to venture into the challenges and marvels ahead, to uncover the obscured truth beneath the veil of a glorious legend from the past,” developer Heishenhua writes in the blog post via Steam.
“Black Myth: Wukong is inspired by Journey to the West, one of China’s most famous fantasy novels. Reading this epic tale beforehand might sprinkle extra surprises into your game experience (but don’t worry, it’s not a prerequisite for the fun).”
