Blasphemous To Receive New Game+ And More in Free Stir Of Dawn DLC Early Next Month

This coming September will mark the one year anniversary since the launch of Blasphemous. Following the launch of the action-platformer, it is presumed that developer The Game Kitchen has been reworking some of the rougher edges of their current project with new add-ons or perhaps even a new story expansion to tell in the game’s universe for fans hungry for a new approach on the entry.

Thankfully, that happens to be the case for Blasphemous. Even more, the aforementioned downloadable content that will be coming to the game will not cost players a thing. In particular to what will be coming is some quality of life tweaks and adjustments that were apparent to being changed from the base game.

Announcing the Stir of Dawn, this new add-on will include new additions like the highly-requested New Game+ to allow players to reiterate on their initial playthrough with a tougher batch of enemies and bosses to face ahead. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:

In addition to the new foes that you will face, NPCs will also be making their inaugural debut alongside new, uncharted areas with unique storylines to complete as well when exploring. The core combat has also been revamped with a new counter mechanic being injected into the gameplay alongside executions to keep the game fresh when finishing enemies in-game.

Players will also find a fresh batch of items/consumables to use as well as more adamant fast traveling locations to make revisiting different areas of the game a breeze. The map system in Blasphemous has also been reworked alongside some animations and even art for stages have been revisited to extend the new experience when playing.

Are you planning on returning to Blasphemous when Stir of Dawn arrives later on?

Stir of Dawn will arrive on August 4, 2020; Blasphemous is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
