It was revealed back in October that Borderlands 2 will be receiving an virtual reality makeover exclusively for the PlayStation VR in celebration of the device’s second birthday. With the title releasing just around the corner for next Friday, it’s revealed that the title will only be unique to Sony’s VR headset for five months.
With a short advertisement trailer for the approaching VR title, near the end of the video it reveals that “Borderlands 2 VR is exclusive to PS VR for a minimum of 5 months from launch”.
Which doesn’t really come off as an surprise seeing how other titles like Batman Arkham VR and Resident Evil VII debuted the headset as exclusive and later released for Facebook’s Oculus Rift and HTC’s Vive. Doing the math, this means the title will be exclusive to PS VR until April 2019 for other platforms.
This VR version of the 2012 title will feature BAMF Time ability which is an authentic skill to the VR headset. Along with introducing first-person driving to the franchise as you will be playing the game solely in the one perspective.
Borderlands 2 VR is currently set to release on PlayStation VR on December 14, 2018.
