Gearbox Software came out with Borderlands 3 in September 2019 and it’s possible they are developing a fourth installment in the Borderlands franchise. According to Voice Actor, Angie Jho Lee she is doing voice over work for Aiyumi of Borderlands 4. Aiyumi would be a brand new character to the series.
This information comes from Reddit user Sn34kyMofo where he found the resume of the actress that shows she’s working with Borderlands 4. The user also noticed Sr. Producer, Nadia D has Borderlands 4 listed on her LinkedIn profile and it suggests the game will be coming out in 2023.

A Holiday 2023 release seems to be very soon for a game Gearbox hasn’t announced yet, but we’ve seen crazier things happen. Borderlands 3 was first announced at PAX East 2019 and it later released that year. With PAX West and Gamescom as the next notable events for games coming up, could it be possible Gearbox makes an appearance there?
At the end of the day these could just be typos, but the good news is that a new Borderlands game is most likely in the works.
